Grace Central Coast

Tim Theule | Matthew 7:24-29 | 09/03/2017

A look at the award winning movie 'La La Land' serves as the finale of our summer series, Reel Grace 2017: Gospel Shadows in Today's Movies. 'La La Land is a love story with a twist. It's fun, colorful and points us to the Gospel in some thought-provoking ways.

How can we thoughtfully engage with the Gospel those who are not yet Christians around our community? We continue our Multiply! study of the book of Acts with a look at Paul's message at the Areopagus in Athens. It's a powerful model for sharing our faith in our own day and generation.

Ben Collins | Acts 17:15–23 | 08/20/2017

The Gospel of Jesus Christ was a new, strange and largely misunderstood message to Athenian ears. Paul worked hard to contextualize or translate the Gospel into understandable terms for the Athenians and Luke notes these details for our instruction today as we seek to translate the Gospel into our culture.

Tim Theule | Acts 17:1-15 | 08/13/2017

Acts 17:1-15 records the next step on Paul's second missionary journey and is the next step on our Multiply! journey through the book of Acts. It reminds us of several ongoing challenges we face as we seek to be faithful to Jesus' multiply mission.

Ben Collins | Acts 16:1-15 | 07/23/2017 The Gospel is on its way to Europe through Paul, Silas, and Timothy. As it travels, we learn how the Gospel mission is unique for everyone, mysterious and fruitful.

Miles Nelson | Acts 15:36-41 | 07/16/2017 As we continue our Multiply series in the book of Acts we come to the pivotal disagreement between Paul and Barnabas. Both men disagreed on how to move forward but God worked through their conflict and multiplied the gospel.

Tim Theule | Acts 15:1-35 | 07/09/2017 We continue our MULTIPLY study of the book of Acts with a look at Acts 15:1-35. The Jerusalem Council in Acts 15 serves as the centerpiece of the book of Acts and a watershed moment for the Early Church as the Gospel is saved from corruption and the church is saved from fragmentation.

Tim Theule | 1 Peter 2:12-19 | 07/02/2017 Each summer at Grace Central Coast we take a few weeks to explore how some of today's movies reflect Gospel truths. We kick our much-anticipated Reel Grace 2017 series with a look at 'Hidden Figures' which tells the fascinating true story of 3 black women working at NASA in the early 1960s.

Ken Peet | Acts 14:8-28 | 06/25/2017 As we continue our Multiply series through Acts, we see Paul and Barnabas continuing and completing their missionary trip, taking the Gospel for the very first time to the Gentiles! In chapter 14 we will see five outcomes that take place as they finish off their journey across Galatia.

Ben Collins | Acts 13:44-14:7 | 06/18/2017 Our Multiply series continues as we watch the Gospel break through into Antioch of Pisidia and Iconium, reaching not only Jews but also the Gentiles! God's Gospel is reaching the ends of the earth in a new, focused, didactic and glorious way.
