So often we wonder who we are and what we live for. Our identity is wrapped up in whatever we do or what we’ve accomplished, but not always in who Christ is. In this message, we look at the call of John the Baptist and use his life as a model or claiming our purpose.

The true source of life is Jesus Christ. Without a relationship with Him, we will not have the abundance of life that God offers us. So how then do we live if we’ve received life from Him? In this message, we identify the value of Christ’s perspective and purpose in each of our unique stories.

Life is full of searching—we are all longing to find security in our position, possessions, or relationships. All the while Jesus stands by offering us true and lasting security in Him. The decision is ours: will we trust Him or go on aimlessly seeking?

Darkness is not just a physical absence of light, but it is the spiritual state that we are all in without Jesus. God knew that we needed His help to find true life, so He sent Jesus Christ, the light of Life, to give us access to God and all of His goodness.

Luke 9:57-62 - As they were going along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” 

We can spend our whole life trying to find the meaning of life. Yet, when we surrender our life to God, and believe in Jesus Christ, we find the true meaning of life. Jesus has come to give us hope, righteousness and redemption with God.
