There were so many people involved in the death of Jesus. They all responded in different ways. Some mocked him, some were angry, some were emotionally involved, some were stirred, others were disturbed. But one responded with a desperate plea simply to be remembered by Jesus. How will you respond?

Over and over in Luke's account of of Jesus' trial, we find confirmation that Jesus is not guilty. In fact, it's not really Jesus who is on trial at all. Pilate, the religious leaders, Romans soldiers, the crowds, and even you and I, are actually the ones in the dock.

Against the backdrop of the religious leaders' schemes and Judas' betrayal, Jesus explains the purpose and meaning of his death in terms of the Old Testament Passover. Then he shows his disciples that true greatness in his kingdom means sacrificial service.
