Today we get a little insight regarding the Timetable of the Lord. And while we don't know every specific detail we CAN know two definite things...

[1] the Lord is coming back & [2] we need to be ready for His return.

Today's message challenges us to think about how we position ourselves in connection to Jesus.

As Jesus speaks to His disciples, He addresses their views on what 'could' be seen as precious only to have it taken away. Thus, the question in Mt 24:2 "Do you see all these things?" causes us to question whether what we see... is what Jesus sees.

As we look into the new year we want to be able to examine what Jesus' vision for His church is.

We'll do this be looking at the great example Jesus gives from John 13:1-17; that beyond the practical expression of Jesus selfless example is the example of Jesus' knowledge of His Father's timetable; His Father's authority; & His Father's sovereignty. 

In examining this we can also draw from how we, too, can draw from His example the necessity for us to know our Lord's timetable, authority, & sovereignty too.

Today marked the end of an era with Ps. Ben, the founding pastor of GCC stepping down and the appointment of another brother Jono Hui into the church leadership.

Ps. Ben has had such an amazing influence & testimony among the GCC family and we are truly thankful to God for him. I praise God for this man, and am truly blessed that he will still be around to share, council, & advise of various things as we move forward.

Also, the blessing to have Jono join the leadership as an Elder is truly a gift & honour as we serve our God together.

Please continue to uphold him and the GCC leadership in prayer as we seek God's vision for His church!
