String the lights, deck the halls, bring on the snow (at least for Christmas Day). The fun of the holiday season also brings the things we want most to the forefront. And we want simple things: for our relationships to work, things to go our way, everyone to get along – in a word, happiness. But as we all know, our interactions with each other during the holidays don’t always turn out the way we envision them. So This Is Christmas is a series offering a practical perspective on inviting Jesus into every moment of our Christmas season. See how his presence can change us and the dynamics of the situations we find ourselves in.

Loving God means loving people. God works in our lives to prepare us to impact our world by giving our lives away. When it comes to love, nothing is quite as intriguing as the motivation and style of love derived from God. Jesus showed us this radical and life-saving love through giving His own life away. As we recognize that Jesus’ radical love is directed toward us, it changes our outlook, lifestyle, and even who we love. We begin to love differently.

You may have heard about having a relationship with God or following Jesus. But how does it actually work for humans to interact with a God who is a spiritual being?

When we do life with God in real time, and interact with him as a personal friend instead of an impersonal force, it causes us to live differently. Our outlook on life and our priorities change dramatically.

In this series, Live Differently, we’ll get a clear picture of the tools God gives us to interact with him and what it means to live with God every day.
