The birth of Jesus was a low key event despite his kingly status. But as we come to the narrative of his birth in Matthew's Gospel, Tobias shows us through the examples of three groups of individuals we have to respond accordingly to who Jesus is. Will we respond like Joseph in faith, will we respond in wonder like the Magi, or will we respond in hostility like Herod? As we continue looking at Jesus' parting words to his disciples. Tobias Brown speaks from John 15 and demonstrates how Jesus uses the metaphorical language of the Jewish forefathers in the Old Testament to reveal his greater identity to his followers and their call to be in him and to walk in his ways of sacrifical love.

As the disciples ponder Jesus' newly imparted knowledge to them, they are full questions. Where is he going? Why is he going? What is their purpose once he goes? As Al Gibbs takes us to John 14, we find Jesus' words of comfort to his disiciples as he teaches them from the upper room.

As we start our new series in the run up to Easter; we join Jesus and his disciples in the upper room, where Jesus will impart his final words before he leaves them. As we look at John 13, Glen shows us how a simple act of kindness from Jesus provides the building blocks for a much greater lesson on humility and cleansing as he washes his disciples feet in teaching them from the towel.

What happens when we don't get our way with God? That's the situation that Jonah found himself in as he found God withholding his judgment back on the people of Ninevah. As we conclude our series on the book of Jonah, Tobias teaches us the truth of grace that God wanted to teach Jonah in chapter 4 of this short but familiar story.

Not everyone gets a second chance at something. But for Jonah, he gets more than a second chance. He gets the opportunity to give the people of Ninevah a second chance before God too. As we come to the next part of the prophet's story, Tobias opens up Jonah chapter 3 where we see how God gives all of us in his grace the opportunity of a second chance in Christ.
