Despite knowing what is coming on the horizon, Habakkuk does not lose hope in his circumstances. He continues to trust in God as he is reminded of God's past actions and how he dealt with both the righteous and the wicked. As Assistant Minister at GCB Glen Burns opens up the last chapter of Habakkuk, we see how the prophet seeks to rejoice in the days of evil, as he trusts in the God who is Sovereign and strengthens his feet to walk in faith and not fear.

In his search for justice, Habakkuk waits upon God's answer and God responds to the prophet. As we look at God's reply in chapter 2, we will see how God looks to separate those who are beneath him and demonstrate his judgment towards the wicked whilst the righteous are spared as they live by faith and not themselves.

It can feel like the world is burning down around us with conflict, war, mistrust and worry caused by oncoming fear. But things were no different in the time of Habakkuk. as Habakkuk prays to God, he asks him "How long?" will these things continue to happen? But God gives Habakkuk and unexpected response that cause the prophet to be unsure of what God was telling him. As we begin our series on Habakkuk, we will find out how God in his sovereignty sometimes meets our prayer requests with unusual responses. But as he does so, he asks us to continue to trust in him by Faith and see how he is working out his will in the world around us today.

Psalm 137 contains some of the most graphic and sobering words within all the Psalms as a prayer to God. For the people of that time, such words were due to the harsh treatment they face. But what do they mean for us today? Can we pray these words ourselves, and if so, who is our enemy that we can justifiably pray them against? Listen as Glen opens Psalm 137 and reveals that in order for us to be able to hold on to these words, we must first hold on to the one who should be our highest joy.

2 Kings 21 ends with a bleak conclusion as the people of Jerusalem lose their homes and their livelihoods. With no temple, no city and no peace, where can they turn to find identity and a place of rest? As we come to Psalm 90, A Prayer of Moses, Assistant Minister Glen Burns shows us how the exiled community found comfort in knowing the truths that Moses prayed as he came to the end of his life. Listen and see how Psalm 90 speaks to us today as we find out that God is our eternal home.

Even though David was king, he wasn't immune to backbiting and betrayal. As we turn to Psalm 55; Tom Quinn, an elder from NLCC, shows us how David processes his prayer of suffering before God as we see how David can pray in confidence of who God is and how this relates to us in light of the gospel of Christ today.

Many know of the heroic deeds of David, both as a shepherd boy and as a king. But even though David was a man after God's own heart, he was also sinful, flawed and committed great evil in his life. As we come to Psalm 51, GCB elder Ravi Srinivasan shows us how a man after God's heart can repent under even the worst of sins committed and how life can be regained in repentance.

It can be easy for us to keep eyes fixed down on the ground whenever we find ourselves in difficulty. But as Simon Abrams shows us in Psalm 73, we can look at our lives through heaven's eyes and see both how God looks at us and how we can respond in prayer.

In Psalm 8, the writer is astounded in awe at the wonders of God's creation as he reflects upon who his Maker is. As we continue our series on the psalms, Andrew Widgery from GCB helps us to know and understand how we can rightly worship our Creator God today through knowing his majesty in Christ through his creation.
