THE MEANING THE CHRISTMAS
You’ll never discover the meaning of Christmas from watching Hallmark Channel Christmas movies. I just don’t get celebrating Christmas without Christ. There’s Santa, jingle bells, Christmas trees, chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Rudolf, elves and families getting together, but no Jesus!
I want us to get the true meaning of Christmas, even without the Roman tax decree, the wise men and shepherds, as important as they may be to the story. What is Christmas? It’s CHRIST and Him alone. So that’s what this lesson is all about: Jesus Christ, Son of Man, Son of God. He was born at Christmas. That’s it.
We begin at the beginning. Turn to John 1:1-3, then v.14 and 16-18. Read it carefully. “The Word was with God and the Word was God.” How can that be? That can be because within the essence of the one God there are three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God was the Father and the Word was the Son of God. This Word was the creator. Some say God first created the Word and then the Word created everything else. The text will not permit that. Read v.3. “Nothing was created except through Him.” Did the Word create Himself? Of course not! No thing or person can create itself. Before it comes into existence it or he was nothing. Nothing cannot create something. It’s impossible. It’s an intellectual absurdity. The Word was the creator God.
“And the Word became human.” (v.14) The creator God took upon Himself human flesh. He became a man. A baby born in Bethlehem, so says the prophecy and so says history. Why was He born? John tells us.

George Barna gives the most conservative stats on the problem we are facing. He says that 69% of kids raised in church will leave the church after high school when they no longer consider themselves responsible to their parents. And they “never return” except maybe occasionally when visiting their parents. For all practical purposes they are lost to Christ, His church and the purpose of God in the earth. They are of the world. (The church is the purpose of God in the earth.)
This is a major problem because to leave the church is to leave Christ. Every Christian believes this statement: Outside of Christ there is no salvation. But let me insert a word that does not change the meaning of that one bit: Outside of the body of Christ there is no salvation. People will back off from that because they have decapitated Christ, cut His beloved head off. What is the church? It is the body of Christ. “He (the Father) put all things under His (Christ’s) feet and gave Christ to be head over all things to the church, which is His body…” (Eph.1:22-23) Then, “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” (Rm.12:5)

Still studying the Kingdom of God, I have stated that most people have never heard a sermon on the Kingdom. Before this series, I can’t remember ever hearing or giving a lesson on the kingdom of God/heaven. But after you see it in the Bible you discover that this is the subject of virtually every sermon in the Bible; it is on every page of the New Testament. It is mentioned no less than 87 times in the N.T. This is huge!
Likewise, we rarely hear anything about God the Father. Jesus is the gospel and should be preached in every sermon. The Holy Spirit is getting some attention these days, but the Father is still absent from our thinking and learning. And yet, He is mentioned 261 times in the N.T., not counting the many other times He is mentioned as God without saying the word Father, like John 3:16.
The Father is everywhere in the N.T. Everything good comes from the Father (Jas.1:17). Even Jesus came from the Father. “The Father who sent Me” is said by Jesus many times just in the book of John. When Jesus came as a man, He was the exact likeness of the Father, just like Adam had been (Gen.1:26; Col.1:15; Heb.1:1-3). All the gracious words of Jesus were given to Him by the Father, “The words I speak are not Mine but the Father who sent Me.” (Jn.14:14) Everything Jesus did, all His works, were the works of the Father (Jn.5:19-20). He revealed the Father (Jn.1:18). If you want to see what God is like just look at Jesus (Jn.14:8-10; Jn.1:14,17). He is the fullness of God in a human body! (Col.2:9)
The question for the ages: WHY DID THE FATHER PUT PEOPLE THROUGH ALL THAT JUDGMENT IN THE OLD TESTAMENT BEFORE HE SENT JESUS? We’re talking 4,000 years from Adam to Jesus! Why’d He take so long?

“In Christ you have been made extravagantly rich in every way. You have been endowed with a wealth of inspired utterance and the riches that come from your intimate knowledge of Him. So now you aren’t lacking any spiritual gift as you eagerly await the unveiling of the Lord Jesus.” (1Cor.1:5,7, TPT)
This is really going back to the beginning of the study of spiritual gifts as it is given to us in First Corinthians; something God wants us to know at the very beginning of His letter to the Corinthians. I’m doing this to set up the importance and explanation tongues as it is taught in 1Cor.14.
The NCV translates our text as, “You have been made rich in every way, in all your speaking and in all your knowledge so that you have every gift from God while you wait for Jesus to come again.” Are you waiting for Jesus to come again? Then you already have every spiritual gift.
People say things like, “I have the gift of giving,” or hospitality, or whatever. Yes you do and you also have all the other gifts of the Spirit. What you mean by saying you have a particular gift is that you have a ministry and that’s different. “Now there are diversity of gifts, but the same Spirit...

Demons and the Kingdom of God
The Further Works of Devils
In the previous lesson we discussed the first and most important work of demons which is to keep lost people from being saved. He wants you in hell where he’s going. He does that by blinding them to the glorious light of Christ and His gospel. Our job is to force them to take the blindfolds off our lost loved ones. Our major weapon is the name of Jesus, the name which is above every other name in the universe (Phil.2:9-10). His name gives us His authority and His Spirit gives us the power to resist the devil on behalf of ourselves and others.
But there are other strategies, wiles, methods and war tactics of Satan and his host of demons. We will now look at some further strategies of Satan. The work of demons has many battle strategies.
2. They Bring People into Bondage. Rev.18:2, 21 – sorceries is the Greek word for drugs.
We are only designed to be in bondage to Christ, the true Liberator of humanity. He has come to set the captives free. Captives to what? Those who are in the prison of demons to destructive habits and drugs that ruin people’s lives. Demons do not want you to freely serve Christ so they bind you with addictions. The thief (demons) steals, kills and destroys (Jn.10:10) and they do this by getting people to take drugs, which includes fentanyl (which kills 300 people a day in America alone) heroin and other opioids. This accounts for over 750,000 deaths a year in America. And that’s not counting the multitude of deaths by legal drugs, such as prescription opioids, alcohol, marijuana and nicotine. And that is to say nothing of the horror of life caused by these drugs. The poverty alone is astounding. That is a work of demons if there ever was one.
But these demons can be defeated and driven out of people’s systems by spiritual warfare against these things. We thank God for all the work rehab organizations do for the people whose lives have been damaged by these horrible things. The most effective ones use spiritual weapons to force these demons out of people’s lives...to read more click here: http://www.gracehouseclinton.com/2022/10/demons-and-the-kingdom-of-god-2

“Then He leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country.” (Mt.21:33-43)
In the first installment of “The King of the Kingdom” we saw that the King Came, Lived, Died and Rose from the Dead. This is the heart of the kingdom because it is the gospel of Christ by which we become citizens of the kingdom. The King is actually the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, and everyone who believes this gospel is saved for the kingdom. But the story of the King doesn’t end there.
But before we continue, a word about relevance. Four-fifths of this study is prophetic and the question is asked, “How is this relevant for me, for my life today?” This is relevant because of who we are to worship and serve: King Jesus or ourselves. And our hope for the future will determine how we live now. 1Cor.15:58 says, concerning the hope of our resurrection, “Therefore, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” We need to know that we will be facing the judgment of God for our behavior when Jesus comes back. Eternal rewards are at stake (2Cor.5:10).
V. The King Went Away. The disciples asked the resurrected King if He were going to at this time restore the kingdom to Israel. No! They had not figured on what we now call the Church Age. Right after they asked Jesus that question, He left. He went back to heaven. When He left, He left us in charge. He gave us the awesome responsibility of continuing His work and preaching His gospel.
In almost all the parables of the Kingdom of God there was a king or landowner or rich person with power who left everything he had to his servants. They were to do everything as though he were there. When Jesus left, He left His servants in charge. They were to do what He told them to do while He was away. He left us here to serve Him and rule the world, even as Adam had been given the commission (Gen.1:26) and Jesus actually did. We are responsible. We let things happen! We are responsible for what happens on earth. He has not left us naked and unequipped to fulfill our responsibilities; He has sent the Helper, the Holy Spirit, to clothe us with His power to ‘stay awake’ and do our jobs: share the gospel and heal the sick. This is called Christ’s Great Commission (Mk.16:15-18).
The difference between the good servants and bad ones is - Jesus is king in the hearts of the good servants. Is He the king of your heart? If not, your future is not good. If so, when He returns you will hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.”
