I hope you’re doing well! We’re now two weeks into our study of Ephesians, and I hope you’re loving it as much as I am.So far, we’ve met the city, we’ve met the author, and we’ve learned the context. Last week, Paul hit us with a 202-word Greek sentence overflowing with the Gospel. He showed us that God planned our adoption, Jesus purchased it, and the Spirit sealed it. Now, Paul moves from proclaiming the Gospel to praying that we would truly live it.This week, we’ll look at the “endgame” of the Gospel. Where is all of this taking us? What does Paul want us to experience? What is the ultimate goal? The answer is so simple, it’s easy to miss: that we would grow in wisdom and power to know Jesus more.

I hope you're doing well.Last Sunday, we kicked off our new series in Ephesians by exploring the who, what, where, when, and why of the book. We saw that in the first few verses, identity comes before behavior—we are called holy not because of what we've done, but because of our faith in Jesus. Before we do anything for Him, we are already in Him.This week, we’re diving into Ephesians 1:3–14, where we see how Paul’s theology naturally turns into doxology. As he reflects on all the Father, Son, and Spirit have done for our salvation, he bursts into praise—writing one of the longest run-on sentences in the New Testament! For Paul, deep theology always leads to deep worship.That feels especially fitting, since this Sunday we’ll also be celebrating over 30 baptisms and gathering for a worship night. My prayer is that as we sit in the truths of Ephesians 1, we would be stirred again by the beauty of the Gospel—and that our hearts would respond in joyful worship for who God is and what He’s done.Listen here!

Hello Grace Church. We hope you enjoyed the Counter Formation Series and are working to integrate the disciplines of fasting, generosity and sharing the Gospel. I’m learning it’s often the things we avoid that offer us the most joy. This week we’re starting the book of Ephesians and this study will lead us to the end of the year. This letter was written by Paul from a Roman prison to the church in Ephesus. It’s designed to tell us who we are in Christ and how that shapes how we live with one another. This Sunday we continued our Counter-Formation series, where we’re looking at the ways Jesus wants to shape us counter to the patterns of the world.Last week we talked about fasting. This week we’re talking about something many of us struggle with but deeply long to grow in: sharing the Gospel.Let’s be honest, the world is forming us to keep our faith quiet. We’re told not to bring Jesus into conversations, not to offend, not to make it awkward. But Jesus has called us to something far bolder and more beautiful: to be His witnesses in our everyday lives. Hi Grace! Over the past few months, we’ve walked through the book of Daniel together, watching how God formed and sustained His people in the middle of Babylon. We’ve seen that we, too, are living in a kind of exile, and like Daniel, we’re called to remain faithful in a world that’s always trying to shape us.This Sunday, we’re starting a new series called Counter Formation, where we’ll look at three of the hardest (and most neglected) practices in the Christian life. These are not just spiritual disciplines, they are ways of pushing back against the world’s formation and letting Jesus shape us instead.This week, we’ll begin with fasting - a practice that’s often misunderstood, avoided, or forgotten. But what if fasting is one of God’s greatest tools to wake us up, reorient our desires, and draw us closer to Him?

Our weather is amazing, so I shouldn’t be discouraged, but all those overcast days had me bummed out. We’ve been following the story of Daniel as it covers 68 years in exile. This week we’re coming to the end of the book, the end of the series, and the end of the exile. I’ve enjoyed walking through this scripture with you and I believe it’s given us a vision of how to live in our modern day Babylon. The book of Daniel closes with a prayer followed by a single vision that covers the final 3 chapters. My hope is that because we see the end of the story we can have courage to persevere in the meantime. Just like Daniel, we know where the story is headed but the call is to be faithful in the spiritual battle while we wait.

Hello Grace Church, Happy Fathers Day last Sunday! For the last 7 weeks we’ve been following the story of Daniel and his friends refusing to assimilate to Babylon. We’ve seen them interpret dreams, face the fiery furnace, sleep in the lions den, and defy 4 different kings.

But in chapter 7, the language changes. The text goes from Aramaic to Hebrew and the literature changes from narrative to Apocalyptic. Apocalyptic sounds like what it is. It’s writing that reveals hidden spiritual realities and future events. This week's text is filled with a vision of, “lions and tigers and bears oh my," but it’s also filled with hope, so much hope.

Whether you are familiar with this space or not, I hope you come to church as Daniel is going to show us the day when earthly empires fall before the eternal throne.

Hello Grace Church. Congrats to any of you who ran the marathon last week. Hopefully you’re recovering well. We are back in the book of Daniel this week covering the most famous part of the story: The Lions Den. You may have first heard this story as a kid but I hope we can feel it in the broader context. The book of Daniel is showing us a pattern on purpose. For the second time now, God is showing his power to deliver even in the face of death. There’s a new king and a new kingdom, and everything has changed, but nothing has changed. Daniel, even in his 80’s still has a passion for prayer that endures. His spiritual discipline remains and in this story it could cost him his life. But he doesn’t care, just like Shadrack, Meshack, and Abendigo, Daniel has a greater allegiance and he’s not afraid of where it leads.
