For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8

We have salvation. We have sanctification. We have Grace, but we still have to run our race for Jesus! You get to decide how to live your life for Jesus. Will you be a vessel for honor or dishonor? "Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work." II Timothy 2:21

The healing of the blind beggar stirred up controversy. Jesus healed the man on the sabbath, so there were questions about Jesus. The religious leaders were trying to confirm that the man was ever blind even going so far as to ask his parents. But the beggar simply answered them with the truth. He was blind and now he sees!

In Judges chapter 6 we see that the people were oppressed by the Midianites. Then we are introduced to Gideon. A man that was "the least" in his father's house. But he is visited by the Angel of the Lord (a Preincarnate Appearance of Jesus) and told he will deliver the Israelites from the Midianites. This is an incredible message of God's Sovereignty.

Jesus approaches everyone differently. The blind beggar in John 9 didn't ask to be healed, but Jesus spat on the ground and rubbed mud in his eyes! What's amazing his eyes were open and he was saved! Maybe you were saved this way or maybe you are the mud for someone else. No matter how God is using you or whatever your testimony, share your testimony of the Gospel in your life with others!

We are always doing things to prepare for the next generation. The Bible is the same. Judges is an important period in the Bible that eventually transitions us to the KING! We must ensure that we making God known to the next generation!

Jesus really made the religious leaders angry when He declared Himself to be God. Jesus is God! And He came to sacrifice Hisself for your sin so that you can be RIGHTEOUS to the Father!

"And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:17... What about you?
