In verse 12 Paul tells the Philippian church to work out their salvation. In verses 14-16 he shows us what that looks like.

What is the purpose of your life? Paul said that it was no longer he who lived, but Christ who lived in him. It is only when Christ is the center of our world that we can have a biblical perspective of life and death.

Hardship is a divine opportunity to proclaim Christ and the Gospel rather than ourselves.

Don't worry, be happy. That's not just a catchy song, it's actually commanded in the Bible. When we seek happiness from this world, we will come up empty handed. That's because the only true source for enduring happiness is found in the resurrection of Christ!

What is “Palm Sunday”? It’s the Day we commemorate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, which is also the beginning of “Holy Week”, the final days of Jesus's life before his crucifixion. All four gospels record this event. John tells us that the people cut palm branches and took them to meet Jesus, thus the term, Palm Sunday. As we read through Luke's account, we will discuss three reasons Palm Sunday matters.

When I ask, “Do you love your church?”, I’m not referring to a building, a preacher, or a style of worship, I’m talking about the people that make up the assembly. After all, church is an assembly of people. The question I’m asking is, do you love those people?
