The Law if timeless and serves a purpose to show us our sinfulness, but more than that, to show that we need a Savior and God's constant grace.

Jesus' view of blessing is to be in a state in relationship with God and is a by-product in relationship with God. To have this relationship means we are reconciled with God. God blesses in our highs and lows, in our winters and our summers.
