My third book, The PLAN: Manage Your Time Like a Lazy Genius, releases in 78 days! Completely arbitrary, but on this random summer Monday, it sounds fun to talk about some behind the scenes details about the book.

Last week, I did an episode on all of your best summer ideas, and today I’m sharing the ten things we’re doing this summer that are saving my life. As always, this list is not something for you to copy. The point is to notice where you have problems, adjust, and see what works for you.

I asked y’all on Instagram for your best summer lifesavers so far, and holy moly did you guys deliver. These are some of the best ideas that align so well with what it means to be a Lazy Genius, to name what matters to you in the season that you’re in and then make choices that support that! Plus, those choices help you feel like yourself.

As often happens when we go through life, we learn things along the way. And sometimes we learn things that we so desperately wish we had learned earlier. Does that negate their value now? No. Is learning part of the process? Of course. But I think we can learn a lot about ourselves now by acknowledging what we have already learned. Since it’s middle of summer energy, this felt like a great time to share ten things I wish I’d known in my 20s. Let’s jump right in.

This episode is for those of you who would classify yourselves as readers and those of you who would not. I want us to look at the aspects of summer reading that are all over the Internet right now and decide if they are in or out for us as Lazy Geniuses. Are we paying attention to the best things? Are we telling ourselves the kind truths? Reading has some weird layers, and we’re going to address those today.

The decision tree that comes from "Can I have a snack?!" is exhausting, whether the question is coming from your kids or yourself. Snacks, especially in summer, are the bane of many an existence, so today we’re going to try to make handling them easier.

For many of you, it’s summer, or you might already be a couple of weeks in. Regardless, I’m going to share my plan for a Lazy Genius summer, and hopefully it’ll show you some ways to apply these principles to your own plan but more importantly to how you pivot around the plan when those times come.

We do this episode every season, and I have seven things to share with you. But what do you do when things that normally save your life don’t work in a new season? I’m tackling that at the end of the episode today.

My first book The Lazy Genius Way introduces 13 Lazy Genius principles that help you name what matters, ditch what doesn’t, and get stuff done. The first of those principles is Decide Once. Decide Once means you make one decision about one thing and you keep making that decision over and over until it doesn’t work for you anymore. Today, I’m sharing 20 decisions I keep repeating.
