1 Corinthians 15 states, "The strength of sin is the law." Duane Sheriff teaches that the Old Testament law paradoxically strengthened our sin by exposing our inability to meet God's perfect standard. When we try to be righteous through our efforts, we remain under sin's strength and the law's curse. Many mistakenly believe they can earn God's love by perfectly following the rules, but the law functions like a mirror, revealing our sinful nature and driving us to recognize our need for Jesus. 

But grace is more powerful than sin! By placing our faith in Jesus instead of trusting our good works, God sees us as completely forgiven. This is grace—God's unearned love and acceptance—freeing us from the need to earn His blessings through perfect behavior. True transformation comes not from self-righteous obedience but from embracing God's grace, which overpowers sin's strength and grants us victory through Christ alone.
