How do you prepare for Christmas? For centuries the church has used the word 'Advent' or 'Adventus' in Latin, to describe the four weeks before Christmas. Adventus means 'coming', and is a time filled with anticipation and longing. It's also the title for our series as we lead up to Christmas.

So what does Kwazulu Natal in 2016 and Rome 57-58 AD have in common?

Well, Paul wrote a really interesting and comprehensive letter to a community of very diverse people – people who knew God and His law, people who didn’t; people who knew they were part of God’s family, and people who were far from any form of relationship with Him. That sounds familiar don’t you think?

So how do we know we are ‘saved’? How do we know our faith is living? Paul digs into these questions and their answers, and addresses other challenges.
