Too often we hide behind slogans instead of listening to stories How should Christians relate to government and politics? Jesus recognizes the power of the earthly authorities placed over him. We give earthly authority to those God has established but we never give Kingdom authority to anyone other than the King.

If you want to know God's will for you, you need to seek him. Be a missionary in the places and with the people you know. Paul refuses to tolerate someone who is leading people away from God. When someone corrects our destructive path it is an act of love, not hate. If we choose to reject God, he will allow us to do just that. You have to be willing to survive a few rounds to be a follower of Jesus. We can experience the same process in our own hearts. We cannot be healed without uncomfortably invasive procedures. Comfort is the enemy of growth. What sin are you allowing to exist because you are too comfortable?

There were still implications of the Gospel that needed to be actualized within Peter’s life. Those saved by Jesus, now enter a process of becoming like Jesus. Those saved by Jesus, now enter a process of becoming like Jesus. Everyone is now invited into God’s family through faith. The Gospel is for those gentiles too. Humble yourself before the cross. Don’t hesitate to acknowledge other’s presence.

Jesus makes it personal. Jesus takes persecution personally. Persecution is not to earn favor with God. Persecution makes us more like Jesus. Anyone can be used to create a lasting impact on the Kingdom of God. Have you allowed Jesus to change the mission and direction of your life?

Persecution always propels the spread of the Gospel. The church should grow anywhere its people go. The good news of Jesus brings Joy. There is no exchange we can make with God to make us better followers of Jesus. Gospel effectiveness requires complete surrender. The good news of Jesus is a gift.

You have to be willing to own with your words what you have portrayed with your actions. Words declare what actions and only imply. How do you wish God would reveal himself to you? Nothing will ever be good enough if we are seeing God with our eyes and not our hearts. How do you need to trust God to be God-sized today?

Church growth brings blessings, opportunities, and problems. Healthy churches recognize leadership limits. Leveraging the gifts and abilities of everyone in the church allows more space for the church to grow. When we live like Jesus we should expect the results Jesus received. The world can't help but notice when we look like Jesus. How much do we really want to look like him?
