...in Jesus's day, as we just read in John 8, and now in -Paul's day, they pulled the veil over their own eyes because-they refused Christ and the gospel of Christ. And the big -problem, they had crept into the churches and were teaching -this in the churches-

Behold the glory of the Lord in the gospel of Jesus Christ-----YOU are the proof of our ministry that it is of God- Your--Christian lives are our letters of recommendation, YOUR--testimony is KNOWN and READ of all who know you, THAT is the--authenticity of our ministry.----When the Spirit of God does His work in the heart of a--sinner by the gospel, the outcome and result will be--unmistakable---Paul was no--doubt dealing with Judaizers that had infiltrated the church.

Here in Gethsemane, Jesus began to enter the darkness of His sufferings as He grappled with what He knew to be His Father's will- never before do we read of our Lord being so conflicted, struggling in prayer like we see Him here in Gethsemane as He pondered His cross, and what MUST take place between He and His Father- - He knew this to be the determinate counsel of foreknowledge of God His Father- That He MUST suffer and die at the hands of sinful men, TO SAVE His people from their sins- But the approaching reality greatly disturbed Him-

Dear saint of God, YOU OUGHT to have this -A GOSPEL EFFECT- and -THIS GOSPEL INFLUENCE- on your family, your world, your personal society- - And KNOW THIS- When YOU HAVE diffused gospel knowledge to lost sinners who WILL NOT turn from their sins to Christ, to them, you are a savor of death. But to those who receive the gospel of Christ, to them, you are a savour of life- John 3-16-21
