For our joy, we search Ephesians 1:3-6. Here we find the sovereignty of God, and his immense love for us.

Building is a major theme in First Corinthians. We are to build each other up, and build the church. God expects that as we come together Sunday, we'll be prepared to serve and to be served.

Why do we gather Sundays? What does God expect to happen when we do? How can we live this out faithfully?

Peter provides us with an easy decision: do we want God's opposition or his grace and favour? As you plan 2018, will you walk in humility or pride?

Why did Jesus come? How did he fulfill the prophecies? We celebrate Christmas together joyfully.

Isaiah predicts one who will come, who will be exalted as high as God, be despised by many, be afflicted and murdered, and triumphantly reign. How could this be? Who could this be?

What is a Servant Leader? Jesus embodies the best of servanthood and the best of leadership, and calls us to model him.

The Servant tells his story. He was tempted to despair that the mission would succeed. But he was tenacious, and trusted God, and God was pleased to give him the world to save, rather than just Israel.

In Isaiah, God proves that he controls all of life and all of history. What does a loving and just God delight in? Here he proudly shouts, Behold my servant! Look to Jesus!

Looking at Jesus' High Priestly prayer, one thing we see is that Jesus himself was sent by the Father and sanctified in order to save. Jesus prays for our sanctification, so we can be sent into the world with his saving message.
