Saul was dedicated to persecuting those who belonged to the Way. This was his life's purpose. As he was going to Damascus to arrest more Christians to be imprisoned or killed, Jesus stopped him dead in his tracks and arrested him instead. Saul left this encounter not knowing the plans Jesus had for his life. Having repented, he simply knew that Jesus of Nazareth was Lord of his life and he would go wherever he was told to go and do whatever he was told to do and stop kicking against the goads. Have you been arrested, and confessed Jesus as Lord- If so, praise God. If not, today is the day of salvation.
