Tony broke out the dry erase board on the University of Iowa campus. The question of the day- -Are you good enough to go to heaven------Tony had several conversations. Some of them, like the two in this audio, we're brief. These conversations are examples of communicating truth to people when they don't have time for a lengthy conversation.

While driving Uber, Tony picked up a 17-year-old young man from a medical clinic. The young man was there to submit to a periodic drug test as a condition of his probation.----After a 15-minute conversation about life in general, Tony transitioned the conversation toward the gospel. The young man had been baptized twice -ages 13 and 16-, but he couldn't articulate the gospel. Is he saved-

PLEASE READ BEFORE LISTENING.----On this day, Tony's first UBER rider stepped out of his apartment sporting the latest in American Evangelical and politically conservative fashion--a bright red -Make America Great Again- baseball hat. Moments after climbing in the front passenger seat of Tony's car, the man offered his bona fides. He was a proud union shop steward and a proud supporter of President Donald Trump. The man made the declarations with a tone and look in his eye as if to dare Tony to disagree.----Tony didn't bite. Tony was hoping for a gospel conversation.----Tony and his rider talked about the state of the unions, at his rider's workplace and the nation. By the time Tony was able to transition the conversation toward spiritual matters, the ride was almost complete.----When Tony's rider heard that he spends time at some liberal colleges and universities proclaiming the gospel, the rider asserted his own faith in Christ.----This audio picks up not long before Tony asks his rider how he came to faith in Christ. Tony had already given the rider a gospel tract and his phone number.----Tony asked his rider how he came to faith in Christ. The man's testimony was void of the gospel.----By the time Tony got to the gospel, he was pulling into the parking lot of the rider's destination. There wasn't much time.----Tony's rider heard the gospel and seemed to affirm what he heard. Hopefully the man will want to grab a cup of coffee with Tony so the two can further talk about the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As the Apostles were building the foundation of the Church, God was sending His Holy Spirit to every people group to empower them for ministry. First the Jews -Pentecost-, next the Samaritans -half-breeds-, then the hellenists -God-fearers-, and finally the Gentiles, received the Holy Spirit in the presence of the Apostles, uniting all types of believers into the early Church. Given the foundation was built by the Apostles, and the Spirit received by all people groups, no longer are there multiple baptisms.

Tony and Roy -a fellow member of Grace Fellowship Church- spent Roy's lunch hour crosswalking and engaging in sign evangelism on the corner of Marquette and Locust.----A man named Dan pulled into the parking lot behind Tony and Roy and parked in the space closest to Tony. Dan waved Tony over to the car and their conversation began.----Dan was very soft-spoken, so it may take some effort to hear what he's saying. But it is worth it.----Dan began the conversation hoping his confession of sin--egregious sin-- would somehow help reconcile him to God. While he may not have been saved by the end of the conversation, he certainly knew that his worldly sorrow and confession of sin wouldn't save him. His reconciliation to God would only come by the grace of God alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.

Led by Saul's zealous brutality, great persecution took hold in Jerusalem against Christians, causing them to scatter in fear. The scattering of these recently reconciled children of God caused the good news to be spread with them, all the way to Samaria. Continuing the process of fulfilling Jesus' instruction to be His witnesses in Acts 1-8. We mustn't fear persecution, as it will never stamp out the Gospel, it will only cause it to spread.

He was sitting at a table in the food court enjoying his lunch.----Bernardo claimed he didn't believe in God. Tony tried to reason with him, with the authority of God's Word, showing Bernardo that he did believe in God, but was simply suppressing the truth by his unrighteousness. Bernardo, hard of heart, would not be moved. As a result, he did not hear the gospel.----After saying goodbye to Bernardo, Tony explained to Donnie and Matt why he didn't share the gospel with Bernardo.
