In the first chapter of Hebrews, the author tells us about Christ and angel. However, in redemptive history, there is one key group that has not been directly addressed - humanity. Preparing the reader for understanding the gift of salvation, the author appeals to humans in the creation order and that Christ stepped into the creation for those that bear His image.

What does the author of Hebrews want the believers to do with the truths of Christ proclaimed in chapter 1? In today's passage, we look at the first warning passage found in Hebrews.

Sometimes we come to difficult phrases in Scripture and we need the turrets in other verses to help us work through the difficulty. Though there is not agreement on the author and audience of the letter to the Hebrews, its placement in the canon and in redemptive history help lay the foundation for the message of this letter.
