Esther 2:1-20 - The Lord providentially used what Esther did for his glory but were her actions right?

1 John 4:16 - When you hear it said that God is love, what do you think of? The sentiment is attractive, however, there is a real problem. You need to define what love means in this context. We need to be clear about what this really means, for it is easily misunderstood.

Romans 9:19-33 - Salvation blessings are one hundred percent dependent on the grace of God. It is not for us to accuse God and ask why are some not saved. It is absurd for us as creatures to put God on trial. His ways are past finding out. Why does God allow sin in the world?

Esther 1:1-20 - Ahasuerus was a pagan king; very rich and full of pride. Even so, God can be seen to be working out his purpose through him. We know that to be the case in all the events of the world – that the counsel of the Lord shall stand.

Habakkuk 1:1-4 - This is not about Habakkuk. Let us look beyond and see what the message is that the Lord has for us. Just as Habakkuk had a burden when he saw the godlessness around him so should we today.

Matthew 28:1-20 - We gather together to worship, but we are to go out from and live our lives witnessing for Jesus.

Romans 8:31-39 - If you live out a life of Christian witness, you will face opposition. It does not matter who is against us when God is for us. God is working out his purpose.

Romans 8:28-30 - In verses 29-30 we find the five golden links of the chain of salvation. If you belong to Jesus it is good to commit them to memory.
