1 Peter 5:5-7 - There is to be a lowliness of mind about Christians. We are not to be marked by personal pride. If you want to be chief, learn to serve with humility. Christ washing his disciples' feet and ultimately laying down his life on the cross gives us our great example. All of us need to acknowledge that we are sinners before the holy God and we need to cry out to him in humility for forgiveness.

2 Corinthians 5:1-21 - Why did the apostle Paul endure such hardship whilst he preached the gospel of Christ? He was driven by the love of Christ.

1 Peter 5:1-5 - The Elders here, in context, are those in the church with the responsibility of leadership.

Romans 3:24-31 - The testimony of all true Christians is that Jesus is our saviour from sin.

1 Peter 4:12-19 - Many people today find practising Christians to be rather odd. As a disciple of Christ, you will face opposition. Be encouraged, there is a blessing in these tests of faith. This is not prosperity preaching.

Romans 3:21-23 -

1 Peter 4:7-11 - Your conduct now is influenced by what you believe will happen in the future or by what you believe you can do to shape the future. Some try violent revolution to alter the future. Christians believe that we are in the last days and that the Lord Jesus Christ is ready to judge the living and the dead.

Romans 3:13-20 -

1 Peter 4:1-6 - Those who think it strange that Christians don't join them in doing evil, who mock and persecute, will face the judgement. This is certain.

Romans 3:1-12 - Chosen by God and delivered from slavery in Egypt, but all are under the same condemnation. The gospel of Christ is the power of God to everyone that believes. It is not the externals but the heart that matters.
