Here Paul begins by giving thanks for the Corinthians believers for four specific areas. Hence, he wants them to know that though they are dealing with many troubles, he is ever thankful for them.

Why does embracing a proper understanding of the new covenant matter- There are real practical life applications to having a firm and biblical understanding of the new covenant which God has made with his people.

The new covenant can rightly be labeled as the most significant because this is the culmination of all the prior covenants--the new covenant inaugurated in the blood of Christ for us and for God's glory. The new covenant is more closely linked to Christ and his Church than any other.
