The trial of Jesus' before Pilot was the greatest miscarriage of justice in world history, for Jesus was not only innocent of violating any Roman or Jewish law, but was completely innocent of violating the Laws of God. Psalm 23 is a timeless classic that has brought comfort to billions of people since it was penned some three-thousand years ago, and for good reason. We have all been through difficult times in life, some of us are going through them now. If that describes you, this psalm was given by God just for you.

This passage is ultimately not about Judas, but is about Christ. What happens to Judas simply provides the backdrop for the fulfillment of prophecy. Ultimately, Matthew sees all of this as being about Christ.

Though he endured great injustice and cruelty, he did not retaliate in kind but -remained silent.- How was he able to do so- There is much we can learn from the character of Christ.

This is a dark hour in the life of Christ, and yet he displays amazing boldness and courage as he prepares to enter a dark valley, not simply because he is the son of God but because of the source of his boldness and courage, the source from which we drew his strength.
