Our culture, feminism in particular, has undermined and belittles the important work of women. As with older men, older women are also vitally important to the local Church! The Gospel warrants a godly disposition and character among older women. Instead of older women removing themselves from service in the Church, they are encouraged to be a blessing especially to the younger women in the church.

Many folks have a wrong understanding of the Gospel. Many suppose that the Gospel, meaning Good News, is that they and Jesus, together, will accomplish salvation for the sinner. That is NOT the Gospel! As one has said, the only thing that you contribute to your salvation is the sin that made it necessary! The Good News is that Jesus Christ came into the World to save Sinners!

The attack on older men is real. It hurts our culture and it hurts the Church. Older men in the church, because of the truth of the Gospel, are called to a certain behavior because they are necessary for healthy congregations! Don't be put out into the pasture! Die with your boots on, and be a blessing to those who are younger and more vulnerable than you!

Many great people have claimed to be something great! How does one know that what Jesus Christ claimed to be is true? We don't need to take His word for it, if that is a problem for you, because John the Baptist, the works that Jesus did, and the testimony of God the Father all speak and verify Who Jesus Christ is...if you have a problem with Him it is not because of the lack of evidence or testimony concerning who He is, it is because of a problem with you.

How does a person, who is dead in his sins, come to life? How does anything dead do anything?!? Life does not come about to a spiritually dead person apart from a sovereign act of God's grace! The sinner moves from death to life by the voice of Christ, just as on the day of judgment all men will be raised from the dead, the righteous to everlasting life and the wicked to everlasting judgment.

We must not be conformed to the World! Cretans who become followers of Christ should look more and more like Christ and less like Cretans! And Christians in the States should look less and less like Americans and more and more like Christians! As we have strayed from sound doctrine in the church, the Church resembles the World. "Speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine!"

Are you indifferent to Jesus Christ? Don't be! In this passage we see what good comes to the one who believes in Jesus Christ! The one who does believe has eternal life and does not come into judgment, "but has passed out of death into life"! It would be a terrible thing for you to pass by the One who alone brings life to the sinner! Hear, believe, and live!

A recent speaker at the TPUSA AMFEST 2025 claimed that conservatives "Are all serving the same God." Is this true? No. This is not what Jesus said, nor is it what John the Apostle said. The Jews in Jesus' day persecuted and endeavored to kill Jesus because they refused to recognize that He is God, thinking that they could honor God without honoring Jesus Christ the Son. Don't make the same mistake!

In our times, people generally do not like truth, especially when it regards themselves! Truth tellers are vilified as "Haters" and but those who blow kisses and flatter are embraced as friends. We have lost the ability to hear hard things and thus gather around us those who tickle our ears. Christian, be willing to say hard truths in a loving manner to those around you. Love demands this. But also be willing to take hard truths. "Faithful are the wounds of a friend..." Proverbs 27:6a
