A recent speaker at the TPUSA AMFEST 2025 claimed that conservatives "Are all serving the same God." Is this true? No. This is not what Jesus said, nor is it what John the Apostle said. The Jews in Jesus' day persecuted and endeavored to kill Jesus because they refused to recognize that He is God, thinking that they could honor God without honoring Jesus Christ the Son. Don't make the same mistake!

In our times, people generally do not like truth, especially when it regards themselves! Truth tellers are vilified as "Haters" and but those who blow kisses and flatter are embraced as friends. We have lost the ability to hear hard things and thus gather around us those who tickle our ears. Christian, be willing to say hard truths in a loving manner to those around you. Love demands this. But also be willing to take hard truths. "Faithful are the wounds of a friend..." Proverbs 27:6a

There is great reason to be afraid and sad in this world. Crooked politicians, mass shootings, unthinkable perversions. Man's sin abounds and the consequences are all around us. Everyday we are confronted by these things. Jesus Christ came into this world to deliver us from sin, our sin and the consequence of it, death! Believe upon Jesus Christ, and be afraid no more!

The most important way to bless the church is through the Word brought to them. Paul in his brief time in Troas, on the Lord's Day made his primary focus among them the teaching and preaching of the Word. It was primary even over the Lord's Supper. Even Eutychus falling asleep and falling out of a window did not distract the Apostle, but it too even bolstered the saints in their faith.

What you prize above Jesus, keeps you from Jesus! The Jews had their own standard of righteousness, going beyond the righteousness of God, or so they thought. They were full of themselves and therefore would not tolerate Jesus. Because Jesus doesn't fit our versions of righteousness or because He does not fit our ideals for a Messiah, we will not receive Him in faith.

Cold receptions and wrong priorities...how do you view Jesus Christ? In what are you placing your hope of deliverance? Don't imitate those who refuse to recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Jesus is our sure Deliverer!

If you were to start a company, try to become an influencer, you would either find the elite person or you would put on your best face. Matthew records his testimony to encourage us in this fact; Jesus uses sinners to advance His glory!

When pursued by the Lord's enemies, don't despair! Remember Who the Lord is, Remain focused upon Him, continue to cry to Him, and wait on Him. David wrote, "I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living." Psalm 27:13

Tis' the season for family gatherings and heated exchanges at the table or so it may often seem. The writer instructs the LORD's people how to speak to one another when tensions rise so as to maintain peace in our families and community.

In this passage, the reader should understand that even those with an uninformed and consumeristic faith ought to come to Jesus! While their faith is less than ideal, Jesus is gracious nonetheless! Even less than ideal faith is better than no faith at all.
