What are you building your life upon?

In this study we look at the Foundation that every believer can build upon, as we look at Christ Jesus our Rock.

We ask the question, Who's Building are we Building? and look into what God's Word says about spiritual maturity, and how it only comes as we apply ourselves to learn and grow, and then learn and grow, to apply it to ourselves.

The heart is a complex thing and the Bible has a lot to say about it. From the heart being evil, deceitful and deceived to being given a new heart, which is the spring of life, that's full of joy, God's Word instructs us to live a life seeking Him fully, from the heart!

So tune in to today's lesson to find comfort and strength for your heart.

This personally written letter from the Apostle Paul to Philemon gives us some godly principles to draw from when it comes to our own relationships and situations.

Ever wonder what God thinks? 1 Corinthians 2:16 tells us we "have the mind of Christ". Our human viewpoint can skew our reactions to people and situations in life, so we're told to renew our thinking. Replace the old with the new, and this new is superior to our human thinking. Today's study is about having a Divine perspective, rather than our natural thoughts.

God has provided a solid rock for us to build the foundation of our life upon. As the Architect He has planned a perfect life for us, but what we choose to build upon will make the difference if we have stability or fall.

He's called us to grow up into all aspects in Christ, so let's look at what His Word teaches us about The Rock that is higher.

"There is no one holy like the Lord,

Indeed, there is no one besides You,

Nor is there any rock like our God."

1 Samuel 2:2

It's often easy in this age of grace to forget that the God of the Old Testament is still the God of the New, and you and I are called to be holy as He is holy, even when His mercy & forgiveness are rolled up in the package of Grace.

In Christ, we have the potential of the impossible, to live a life well pleasing to the Lord. The only thing that gets in our way is our own sin nature.

Study with us as we look at the Old Sin Nature that we were birthed with, but have been freed from in Christ.

We have been redeemed. The ransom has been paid for the debt we owed, and it could only be accomplished by Jesus Christ. Today we look at the redemption we receive by faith in the One who died to set us free!
