Paul brings us about a beginner’s guide to prophecy. We see the repeated command for us to eagerly desire the gift of prophecy, the caution to test all prophecies and to hold on to what is good so that we can encourage, comfort and strengthen the church.

Ali helps us see that exercising spiritual gifts without love offends others and is worth nothing in God’s currency. As we look at how love is defined in 1 Cor 13, we see that the description given perfectly describes Jesus. We see too that the key to loving is to know that we are completely loved by God, and to allow Him to live in us.
