Rev Dario Leal from 1st Presbyterian shares from his own diverse experiences to help us better understand the Spiritual Gift of healing. He reminds us that we are able to be conduits of God’s love and compassion even when we don’t see physical healing. 
 

Andy and Karen speak to us about the often-misunderstood Spiritual Gift of tongues. They look at what the Bible teaches about the private and public use of tongues in 1 Corinthians 14 and share from their own journey and experience in this edifying gift.

Paul brings us about a beginner’s guide to prophecy. We see the repeated command for us to eagerly desire the gift of prophecy, the caution to test all prophecies and to hold on to what is good so that we can encourage, comfort and strengthen the church.

Ali helps us see that exercising spiritual gifts without love offends others and is worth nothing in God’s currency. As we look at how love is defined in 1 Cor 13, we see that the description given perfectly describes Jesus. We see too that the key to loving is to know that we are completely loved by God, and to allow Him to live in us.

Paul continues our Welcome to Church series and looks at the Apostle Paul’s rebuke of the Corinthians for their abuse of the Lord’s Supper. We may not be the Corinthians, but have we drifted into overfamiliarity and indifference? Is it possible to regain the awe and wonder of the cross and recapture the same Joy that was set before Jesus?

Lorna Dunn continues our ‘Welcome to Church’ series (1 Cor 10). Both the Israelites and the Corinthians were challenged by idolatry. We see that Paul challenges us to avoid this pitfall by living for God and putting others before ourselves.
