The name of God, Jehovah -Hashopet means THE LORD THE JUDGE. This name of the Most High was known in and through the life of a man called Jephthah. This second blessing of praise entails the victory of praise over its enemy. This means that praise is blessed to always have victory over his enemy. This victory is not just a mere win in a contest but it is getting the enemy unconscious which leads to the utter killing and annihilation of His enemy. Hence, praise does not give his enemy a second chance at life to fight again.

Having understood a little of what praise means, let us go further to study the components of the blessing given by Jacob to Judah.

We must know that Judah received the first blessing of all of Jacob’s sons. Taking a look at the components of the blessing given by Jacob to his sons, the blessing given to Judah had the most components, perhaps the greatest blessing.

Judah was not altogether a good or perfect person.

Like righteousness, praise is also a garment that a believer must possess God. The garment of praise delivers and prevents from worrying about the past and being burdened with the future.
