Ya'll know something? Only your tribe will understand your vibe. We know we play around a lot on the episode but we created our bon in grad school by building community. 

Tbh, we all said we would've quit if were the only Black person in our grad program. Tonight, after we get through our giggles and shit, we discuss the importance of being advocates for our black students, we discuss the importance of being advocates for our black students, building a network, and support system. After all ,we're all passengers on the New Underground Railroad.

In a world where you can buy dinner, a car and groceries with just a tap and a swipe, it would seem that we have what we need. Our students appear to have access to just about any and everything. What more do they need? They need tough love, encouragement, a safe space, wisdom and guidance. But they also need food, water, shelter and compassion.

The GSBro's are back with season 2. We made it through our first semester within our position in the higher education field. We take a look back at the memories and everything that we learn to get us ready for the spring semester. 

Some experiences are for a season or for a reason, regardless you need to know when it's time to move on....come on and sit down with the Grad School Bros as we share our moving experiences and as always we're gonna keep it 100 like a Ben.

We've all heard it before "Your network determines your net worth or it's not what you know but who you know. We've found both statements to be true. Granted we're not experts but we know a thing or two about networking! 

You can set the table, set up furniture, or even set it off! But If you want to set yourself up for success, then you have to set boundaries. 

It's great to employed but every now and then you have to ask yourself. Is this a job or a career? Does this inspire and ignite my passion or just pay rent? 

We read a statement in a book that stated: "Whenever you walk through the door of opportunity, hard work is on the other side...and it lives there!
