Our guest for season 4 of "Everything I know About Me" is one of the most formidable and successful footballer players Scotland has ever produced - Graeme Souness. Graeme was interviewed over 2 days in December 2023 where he opened up about his childhood in the pre-fabs of Edinburgh all the way through to the present day via all of his achievements but also the tragedies and controversies he has endured.
In today’s episode, we start in 1984 when Graeme signs to Sampdoria where he enjoyed dinner on piazzas with Trevor Francis and back massages in the communal showers with Gianluca Vialli.
We then hear about his move from the glamorous Med back to his dad’s spare room in Glasgow when he took on the role as player/manager of Rangers and how he put a target on his own back when he was the first manager to sign a roman catholic player to the staunchly protestant team.
