Graham Graham Beck

Many, many years ago, when I was at school, I was subjected to performing 'country dancing' in front of the (many) parents who were there. Numerous years later (2018), I wrote a song to 'get my own back', but relating it to a made-up, doomed, relationship - a man who couldn't dance, entering into the world of Morris Dancing.

This is their story...

Taken from 2018's album, 'No Gigs 'Til Filey', this is the follow-up to Action Man With A Giraffe's Head. What next? The search continues...

The CD album can be purchased (at a very reasonable price! - only £5 + postage)from: www.graham-graham-beck.co.uk Digital downloads via Bandcamp: https://grahambeck.bandcamp.com/album/no-gigs-til-filey

This is a track, taken from my new album 'NO GIGS 'TIL FILEY' (released Nov. 2018). I Don't Hold With Furniture That Talks is about the interactivity we have with modern technology, as well as 'the traditional wireless' (which was powered by valves, transformer, coils of wire etc.). Where will it take us? Will we always be in control? These & other questions are not answered in this song. They remain a mystery...Until they actually happen. So, beware!

A track taken from my 2017 album, 'LEISURE LAND', it tries to convey the dreaminess of the Humber River, seen from the shores of my adopted city, Hull.

Inspired by Dave Brubeck's Take Five, I decided to create a cool, & laid-back, piece of jazzy music - but with ambient overtones. I hope it works for you as much as it works for me!

Who are we? Where are we? Who am I? Who are you?...These are the questions we need to know. I'd like to say that this song has the answers, but it doesn't! It could go some way in getting us on that journey of self-discovery. On the other hand, it might not. I hope it helps, though?

This track is taken from my 2016 album, 'Reversing Sideways In An Upward Direction'. Thanks for listening.

The fast rise of technology - but are you comfortable with that? Do you feel it's out of control? Do you feel it's out of YOUR control? Do you feel controlled?...How does it make you feel?

What does it take to have a quiet evening in? A track taken from the Oct. 2017 released album, 'LEISURE LAND'.

It could be the next dance craze! 'Rotate your hips to the dishwasher beat'. A track off the new album, LEISURE LAND.

A track taken from my 2015 album, LO-TECH MUSIC FOR HI-TECH PEOPLE. I've decided to post this now, as a film is being released this year, also entitled 'The Space Between Us' (I wonder where they got that from?!). Alas, I wasn't approached for the soundtrack. Drat!!
