Episode 19
Johnny, Frances, and Dennis sit down to discuss Preacher: All Hell’s A-Coming, the eighth volume of the original trade paperback, by writer Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon. In this episode the Graphic Novel Explorers Club gang discusses booing Stephanie Tanner at AT&T Park; how the relationship of Amy, Jesse, and Tulip juxtaposes the relationship of Cassidy, Jesse, and Tulip; Tulip’s childhood and friendship with Amy; how a hook came to be on the hand of Tulip’s dad; the parallels to Betty and Veronica and Tulip and Veronica; the video game achievement when best friend’s menstrual cycles synchronizes; another round of “Guess Which Body Part Herr Starr Loses”; the end of Arseface’s fame and fortune; and how taking care of a parking ticket can lead to being castrated.
