Michigan State makes the NCAA tournament for the 23 straight time but it came with a little anxiety as the Spartans are one of the last teams to receive an at large bid.
MSU will take on UCLA in one of the "First Four" games on Thursday night. While the superlatives don't go in MSU's favor, the matchup vs the Bruins does.

MSU exits the Big Ten Tournament after losing their first game. It was another Bo Boroski special with 44 fouls and 2 technicals called in the game as Maryland beats MSU 68-57. Michigan State looked like the team of late January/Febraury and they fall to 1-6 this season where Bo Boroski is officiating there games.
Now MSU awaits the NCAA selection show to see where they will be seeded and who they will be playing.

MSU solidifies its NCAA tournament bid after handing #2 Michigan its third loss of the season and getting MSU its third win over a top 5 ranked team in the last three weeks

MSU falls to #2 Michigan 69 (nice)-50. Tom Izzo now has his first losing season in conference play of his career, and MSU looked to fold early in the 2nd half after a key loose ball. 
What does MSU need to do the change the result on Sunday? Does the tournament outlook look any different after this loss?


INTRO MUSIC: FLAVOUR BY "WATABOI"

After an impressive 3-0 start to MSU Basketball's Hell week (4 games in 7 days) Michigan State falls on the road to Maryland 73-55. The game started with a Maryland 11-0 run in the first 4 minutes and MSU could never overcome that bad start. Tired legs look to hold back the Spartan offense and Maryland's defense forced MSU to look at outside shooting for their primary offense. 
While MSU's tournament bid still looks okay, with what's left on the schedule, another Tom Izzo streak looks like it will end unless the Spartans go undefeated this week against Indiana and two games against Michigan.

MSU NOW 3-0 IN HELL WEEK. The Spartans keep on rolling with a win over #4 Ohio State by the score of 71-67. In their grittiest performance of the year, MSU kept clawing in this game and prevailed over the Buckeyes. With the win, Michigan State becomes the first Big Ten team to win back to back games against top 5 ranked teams.

MSU saves their season with a HUGE WIN over #5 Illinois where they controlled the entire game. Joshua Langford jumping out of the gym for 16 rebounds and Watts + Hauser show up to help seal the victory for MSU.
The open is from the X's and Br0's morning show that I am on, where I am fired up about the big victory. MSU has now entered the bubble chat and with Hell week going on, they can propel themselves into the NCAA tournament.

Michigan State takes another L, this time losing to Purdue 75-65. Tom Izzo makes a critical coaching error that I believe cost MSU the game, and the offense shines while the defense struggles.
But confidence in Tom Izzo and the program are shaken after a rough season, a 5 star de-commit and the 22 straight NCAA tournament streak likely over, but I try to talk fans off the ledge and remember that this a blip and not a preview of what is to come.

MSU falls big to Iowa 88-58 in a puzzling game where MSU changes the game plan for the worse and the rotations go out of sorts. Things don't look great going forward this season as MSU's tournament streak is likely to end after another uninspiring effort.
