Moshe shares how his path to frumkeit—from his Woodmere upbringing to working at a frum law firm in the mid 2000s—-helped him get through one of the most frightening diagnoses a person can recieve… cancer. As Moshe says, “Cancer is my Goliath. Hakadosh Baruch Hu has given me the ability not just to be a warrior, but a grateful warrior, and say thank you Hashem for choosing me!”

The youngest of 11, Yehuda Leib was born with a rare Jewish genetic disease called familial dysautonomia, with only 350 people in the entire world who have it. Be inspired as Yehudah Leib shares with us his unique challenges and the way he talks about it. ‘Thank you Hashem,’ and ‘Hashem gave me’ are just a few of the phrases that are found in his speech, and are inspiring for us all! That's because, circumstances that only Hashem could orchestrate, led to Eliezer receiving an amputation that would remove a cancerous tumor from his body. However, this is only the middle of the story. Join us us we discover how Eliezer and his kallah (then wife) faced their trials with admirable courage. Even when more (!) trials came along, Eliezer teaches us that it's all about our mindset to what Hashem put in front of us.

Episode 1

In this week's episode, we sat down with David Zedner. From a young age, David was placed in the foster care system, never staying longer than 2 years at any of the homes he lived in. He comes from a line of courageous people, from his mother who, in David's words was "Mosser Nefesh" to send him to Yeshivah, and from his grandmother, who would pretend to be sick in order that she wouldn't violate the Shabbat. This rich stream of courage and resilience runs through David, but still it wasn't easy. Join us as we discover David's life; what got him through his best and and most challenging days (and homes!); where he is now, and where he's going in the future.

Challenges. We can't run away from them, can't escape them, and they seem to follow us wherever we go. Sometimes, these challenges turn into something more. They leave us with questions. "Why was I given this challenge, Hashem?! I can't handle this!" They leave us emotionally drained. "If it weren't for [this challenge], I would be so much happier…!" Most of all, they leave us searching. For answers, for truth, and for something inside ourselves to draw inspiration from.
