Before I begin -- let me share some great news that we received yesterday from our Development Team. You'll soon see several enhancments to the Grateful App. We're taking a big leap forward ahead of our live launch. Stay tuned!
Today is Fat Tuesday, aka Shrove Tuesday...and I hope to make the connection to gratitude for you in today's GEM.
In our part of the world, Spring is already arriving. The sights, sounds, and smells of Spring are in the air.
It brings to mind this lovely quotation from Marcel Proust about the people who make us happy and enrich our lives.
The original release date of this episode is also National Love your Pet Day...so, why not expand your gratitude to include the PEOPLE and the PETS who enrich your life.
There's plenty of talk about self-care...not as much about Soul-Care? Don't you think caring for your soul is important?
I love the comparison J.L.W. Brooks makes between food for our bodies and gratitude as food for the soul.
Why not linger longer today and fill you soul with gratitude?
YOU SHARE. And what do you share? All kinds of things...how about focusing on sharing kindness today?
If you listen on the day of release, it's Random Acts of Kindness Day. Personally, I add INTENTIONAL to that and watch the magic multiply.
Hey Gratitude Family...today's GEM is birthed out of real-time conversations yesterday and even early this morning.
You've probably heard the phrase Toxic Positivity...and may have met some people who say "they don't want gratitude because it's part of that toxic positivity."
True gratitude isn't. For those people who say "Gratitude is a cure-all", I don't think they really get gratitude. I've found gratitude to be ONE powerful COPE ALL.
I hope gratitude helps YOU cope today.
Over the past three years, gratitude has become the sole focus of my work. So much so, that I am closely identified with gratitude.
I'm grateful for that -- but I didn't set out to be the gratitude guy.
I set out to escape scarcity...and embrace abundance. I remember those early days of discovering gratitude as the key -- the gateway that leads us into abundance.
Hello Gratitude Family!
When you think of gratitude -- do you first think of it as a thing to DO or as a way of BEING?
For years, I related to gratitude as something to do -- make a list, write 3 things in a journal.
Now, I think of it more as a way of being...and who I am becoming...a grateful person.
How about you? Let's BE GRATEFUL PEOPLE today.
Can fear and gratitude occupy the same space...at the same time? What happens when you choose to displace...or replace fear with gratitude?
I believe it changes everything. Got a specific area of life where you want to replace fear with gratitude and see what happens?
Have you ever been guilty of being stingy with your gratitude? Like there was a finite amount of it and you were saving it up for something BIG.
In today's GEM, I invite you to think of the simple things in life that are easy to overlook. What will you Pause, Notice, and Express gratitude for now...today?
One of things I collect is gratitude quotations. This one was shared a couple of years ago by my friend Julienne Ryan. Its simplicity is also its beauty.
Give it a try today! Let me know how it goes for you...and those to whom you express thanks.
