Paul's command sounds impossible until we see the source. We give thanks in all circumstances, not for all circumstances. Gratitude is not denial. It is trust. Jesus has met us in every hard place, and He is present in every season. When we choose gratitude, we are choosing to see God's faithfulness even when the road is rough.
