To restore means to bring something back that has been lost or squandered. In human terms, we can put things back into someone’s life that has been lost for whatever reason. We are God’s creation, and more than that, we are His masterpiece. That is difficult for some to comprehend, but the bible is clear that we are just that. Over the past several weeks, Bro. Hughes has explored the elements and processes needed to restore a masterpiece. The first thing needed is the desire to undertake the restoration. Last week, Bro. Hughes talked about having the skills needed to complete the work. Tonight, we conclude this series by exploring the last two characteristics needed for restoration. To complete a full restoration, one must have the resources and the time to do so. The bible is clear that God has unlimited resources. These riches are poured out to us in the form of grace, mercy, and forgiveness. God has the means, the provision, and the time to restore us. God is not bound by the constraints of time as we humans are. Whatever our need may be, God can meet it. If we need grace, God can supply amazing grace. If we need mercy, God has unlimited mercy. If we need patience, God is longsuffering.
