Whatever IT is, you are well able to overcome it. Trouble will come into all lives. It might be an enemy, it might be a friend, and often it is our own thinking that is against us. We all have an IT that we must overcome to enter the promised land. Our text is the report of the spies sent to scout the land God had promised. They returned with a report confirming that the land was all God had said it would be. There is no denying the greatness that He had promised. However, the spies went on to describe strong cities and strong people, and they were detracted from walking into the promise that God had for them. Twelve went in, and only two were optimistic they could possess it. Ten of them had fears and doubts. These ten looked at reality and determined that they could not do it. They discounted God’s involvement in the situation. God had already determined the outcome; all they needed to do was step in and possess the land.
