We all have seen a maze. Twists and turns that, most of the time, lead to a dead end. Only one way leads to the exit. In life, we do not have the luxury of looking ahead to plan our route like we do with the maze on the coloring sheet. Our text is from the story of Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem. Herod instructed the wise men to return to him with word of Jesus’ location. God warned the wise men not to return to Herod, so the bible says they departed another way. God can see it all; if we listen to Him, He will direct us through the maze to where we need to be. If we obey the voice of God, it will keep us from dead ends and wrong turns. God directs us to a way to go that may be different from how we came. His way is better because He sees our future and the obstacles we cannot see. We are not going to find the right way accidentally, we have to be intentional about listing to God to hear his direction. There may be multiple paths, but there is a reason God is sending us a certain way.
