  • HAPPY NEW YEAR! Don't Look UP! And what was Nostradamus saying?

What is MLK saying or Maya Angelou?  It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves - Shakespeare.  It is a new dawn; it's a new day; it's a new life for me - Nina Simone.

Don't Look Up is a new film starring Leonardo DiCaprio.  Are there some similarities with what's going on now?

And MIKEY has a plan for dealing with rioting!

  • Interview with Dawn Butler MP Brent Central - Listen again.

    Dawn Butler MP Brent Central

We interviewed Dawn Butler last April. Listen again. Have some of the things she was passionate about then come to pass?

Dawn Butler never set out to become an MP because there were no role models, but she joined the Labour Party when young and still enjoys campaigning, listening to people and debating just as ever. School friends recognised this quality, though she did not see it herself, looking back. Failure to get a seat in Hackney provided all the skills and possibilities to be a member of parliament, and she won seats in Brent, first 2005 and then 2015.

Find out what she would do if she were the PM, how she would mend this country and her take on conspiracy theories.

  • HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT - revisited. Enjoy!

Mikey has found some archive recordings, prophetical too, NEVER HEARD before, including the Eagles and Bob Dylan.

This interview is of Cllr David Simmonds MP. He came to visit our Debating on Zoom for Parliament Week. He did a good job, and we thought that we would re-run his interview back in February.
David tells us how he started and what he earned. What were his first days of working as a new Member of Parliament? What did he get a CBE for, and which reality TV programme he'd be like to do?

  • We revisit our very first podcast. What a year it has been.

A big thanks to all our guests and listeners.

We have another re-run; our first ever podcast and probably our favourite because it was exciting to upload it and hear it back after getting to grips with all the technical know-how. Rosie is so articulate, too, and we hope she is well.

Rosie, now working as a care provider, not just failed her exams but failed monumentally. Rosie Monger got a U in Biology and an E in Psychology for her A-Levels. So all her dreams of going to university were shattered. Listen to this episode to discover how she overcame her obstacles and how she got on track to achieving her goals.

     HOW TO BE A PSYCHOLOGIST

This recording is the second most downloaded podcast this year.  Here is another chance to hear from Haleema and Jasmine.

Two psychologists, Haleema and Jasmine,  one in training and an assistant psychologist, explain their journey.  It's not what you might expect!  Find out the steps you need and don't need to become qualified.  Is it easier to help a young person than an adult who doesn't want to help?

  • Mikey is not well so we are putting out our most popular broadcast - enjoy again.

Saqlain received the most downloads.  Listen to find out why.

Saqlain reminds me of a story. A man came upon a boy throwing starfish that washed up onto the shore back into the sea.

‘Son, you can’t save them all’, said the man, shaking his head. 'There are hundreds of them.'
The boy continued throwing the starfish into the water, saying each time, ‘saved that one; saved that one; saved that one; saved that one; saved that one.
Saqlain does what he can when he can to do good in his community.

Go and find a local charity and do some good. Connect with your community and build your brand. Do you want to be a global superstar, but your next-door neighbours don’t even know your name.
