He joined the Ministry of Justice [[MoJ] then Lord Chancellors Department in Jan 1984– starting at Willesden County Court in North London. His favourite track is Going Underground - The Jam. Rob Neil OBE

Rob spent over 37 years in the Civil Service working at the heart of the Government. Latterly he led on embedding culture change at the Department for Education. In 2018, Rob was awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honours list for services to Race Equality in the workplace and the community. Buket came to the UK from Bulgaria at eight years of age. There must have been so many obstacles along the way, but she does not mention any. Buket creates opportunities for herself, and disappointment pushes her on to succeed.

Buket talks about her experience creating FAMDEMIC as part of our ONLINE DRAMA WORKSHOPS. Buket wrote a powerful duologue about Covid-19 hesitancy. We are not going to do any spoilers here! HARROW GIVING FUND enabled the group to create various skits about attitudes to taking the vaccine. The group performed on Zoom multiple conversations that might have taken place in households around the country.

He lived in a single-parent household growing up in Wembley and did not have a father role model in the home, but he has clear ideas about bringing up his son.

Everyone has to learn about selling and negotiation because we do this all the time as human beings.  Selling is about understanding what people want and is the most valuable skill you can learn.

Aixa is an aspiring actress.  She is a regular participant of our Online Drama Workshops (every Wednesday, register on Eventbrite),  and what is more fellow participants have nominated her for a Jack Petchey Award.  This term, the group were asked by Harrow Giving to produce short videos about Covid-19.  Listen to her experiences about everything.

This video was produced by the participants of the ONLINE DRAMA WORKSHOPS run by the Greater London Youth Foundation.  We have three versions with different actors.  The young people wrote and performed typical conversations about Covid-19 within families and amongst friends.  The productions were carried out entirely on Zoom.

Joshua Murray became a councillor at twenty-one for the Northwick Park ward in Brent and started leafleting and door-knocking at fifteen. Now he is a counsellor for the Harlesden ward.  Joshua gives an insight into his work during a pandemic. He says he is not a career politician, but he has always wanted to help people.  Joshua is passionate about doing the best for his community and being a new dad.  

He tells us that being part of a gang comes through desperation, not a choice. A Strong family unit and good relationships are the keys to success.
