Publisher's Summary:
Atticus Blake is an unsuspecting young gay boy who, early on in life, was derailed from the true admission of who he was. Having the influences of obsessive-compulsive disorder, religion, confusion, love, and obsession, he hides who he is from everyone he loves. That is, until his doubts overcame his fear of learning and led him to reason, rationality, and, most of all, acceptance of his sexuality.

A few spelling and punctuation errors here and there. Thatâs to be expected with a self published book. But this book was well written and engaging. I reccomend it.
No matter your situation, there is something in here to relate to
If you aren't familiar with Atticus Blake through his YouTube channel or the podcast Lemme Finish, then much of what he discusses in this will be new to you. Even if you are a long time follower of both his channel and the podcast, and are familiar with many of the stories told within, you will still find yourself being punched in the feels several times during the novel.
I found myself able to relate to what he went through, found myself tearing up at times, and filled with protective anger at others. There were times where I wanted to put down the book because in my head it meant that he wouldn't go through what I knew was coming next.
That's how hard the book hit me.
Having listened to Atticus' channel for a few years now, it was his voice narrating the whole time I was reading, which made it all the more real to me.
On to the nitpicks:
There are a few syntax and spelling errors that pop up from time to time, but not enough to take away from the novel itself.
It could use with a bit of light editing to take out extra words or spots where something got edited but not completely fixed. (Again, these do not take away from the novel itself)
In all this book is well worth the purchase, and I would recommend it to any of my friends, especially my LGBT+ friends who might be going through similar situations.
Heartfelt, hilarious and well worth your time
Funny, touching and vibrant. Atticus Blake can paint a vivid picture with only a few words while relating a story that is at once personal and universal. He has the ability to turn what could have been a series of vignettes into flowing story with each tale touching the other. Chronicling his life from boyhood and his struggles with OCD, faith and sexuality while never failing to find the humor and humanity in all of the characters, situations and settings that he carefully presents to the reader.
It's like journeying with an old friend
I binge listened to this story. It's like journeying with an old friend. Moving, funny, and so real.
