Absolutely love Casey and Rob!

This book is every bit as good as the other books in this series. In this book, Rob and Casey are married and trying to build a life while still living with the ghost of Danny, Casey's first husband and Rob's band mate. As they struggle to put the ghost to rest, Rob finds out he has a teenage daughter he never knew about and her mother has just died and she has no family. Casey immediately opens her heart and her home to Paige because she knows what it's like to lose you mother as a teenager and Rob wants to do what's best for Paige but also realizes he and Casey are just starting out even though they've been together for more than 10 years and adding a teenager to the mix is going to be tough.

I fell in love with Casey and Rob in the first book and this book just shows how much love and admiration there is between the two of them. This isn't just a romance book. The author shows us the ups and downs of relationships and how life isn't always perfect and sometimes its just plain hard but you can't give up. This series will help you to believe in happily every after.

Slice of Life

I enjoyed this book. The way the story weave between three points of view. Casey, Rob, And Rob's 15 year old daughter Paige.

Casey and Rob have know each other for 20 years. They have been best friends all that time. Over those 20 years they forged a bond even as Casey was married to Danny. The three found themselves climbing the musical charts. Danny was the lead singer, Rob a singer/song writer who created the songs with Casey. Rob was always there to offer support when things with Danny went sour. He stands by and watches the relationship last 13 years.

Fast forward an Danny has been dead for five years now. Rob and Casey have been married 15 months. We watch Casey and Rob navigate their marriage and the memory of Danny.

A Romance Thriller

This book was not what I expected. Once again, Adler and Holt have created a thrilling story full of romance, power, emotions and mystery.

Wren has been through a lot and survived. She has learned in the past 20 years, she needs to stay independent and in control of both her life and her emotions. She has buried all the emotions from the loss of her first love and tried to forget the horrible accident that took him away from her. Her life was further tried by a failed marriage. Now that all those failures have been placed firmly in the past, she no longer believes in long term relationships and only pursues short lived liasons to satisfy her hunger for sex.

Talon is the unexpected factor that comes into Wren's life and disturbs the delicate balance she has worked so hard to achieve. These two protagonists are on a collision course and so our story evolves and twists into a gripping plot that is hard to put down.

This is book one in the series with the next installment due out in September of this year.

Wren Finds Her Match

It's good to read a book where the leading lady is a secure woman, granted Wren has had to work hard to get where she is today including a battle of weight. When Wren has celebrated a mile stone in her professional life, she discovers she has more to over come.

Not as good as I'd hoped; 3 1/2 stars

Conviction is the follow up to Wanted and overall it was an easy, quick read with a satisfying conclusion.

I was rather surprised that there was no sex, like absolutely none at all; especially as this is such a character driven story. Usually I'm complaining that there is too much sex with under-developed characters that I'm not invested in and therefore find the sex-fest boring. But in this case, I like Addie and Charlie. I've had an entire book (Wanted) to get to know them and to invest in their romance. Intimacy seemed an opportunity to further explore their relationship and connection to each other. First Charlie insists they wait until Addie turns 18...which I found both unrealistic and ridiculous in terms of what difference does a few weeks make - but I understand this is an effort to point out what a good guy Charlie is in juxtaposition to his being a career criminal who is 12 years older than the under-age heroine. But still, the fact that Conviction is a squeaky clean rated G tale (as is Wanted) was a disappointment. Actually in all fairness, there was some sex. Here it is in it's entirety:

"Charlie?"

He gulped, his heart throbbing a million miles a minute. "Hmm?"

"Don't make me wait anymore".

We connected then, reborn and baptized in one another.

Alrighty then.

The other disappointment was Addie's character. Being an older reader, and having her be 17 was difficult; but in Wanted she came across as very mature for her age. I don't know why but she seemed to lose that maturity in Conviction. A good portion of the conflict was her decision to remain "friends" with the FBI agent who worked her case. She made a big point of insisting that she would not be one of those females who allowed their boyfriend to dictate their friends. And all I could think was that "If your boyfriend is a career criminal wanted by the FBI and you think remaining "friends" with the FBI agent who would love nothing more than to nail him to the wall is a good idea...then Charlie really ought to be in charge of picking your friends"!!! Charlie of course thought this friendship was a horrible idea, and I thought to myself "Ah the voice of reason". But no.

Geez, this lady can write.

Well, I hope we don't have to wait too long for the next phase...This is quite a clever story. All the players are interesting, I even like the "other" girlfriend! This isn't typical romance fare to me, more like a mainstream novel off the best sellers list. I'm hooked though, this is great reading.

I couldn't put it down!!

Roman Holiday: The Adventure Begins is intense, titillating, passionate and raw. The more I read, the more I wanted to know about Roman and Ashley. Ruthie Knox has this extraordinary ability to draw the reader into the story. I wanted to be in the story. I can't move on to Book 2 fast enough!

good easy read

Adversaries mixing it up the old way. . .

This Roman Holiday has me wanting to take a holiday of my own.

Ashley Bowman week has gone from bad to worse and there is still more to come. In comes Roman Diaz and it is not for a good time, at least not to start with.

EPISODE 1: CHAINED - makes tree feel a little envy.

EPISODE 2: HITCHED - is fun and entertaining.

EPISODE 3: BLINDSIDED - blackmail and a little something less shady.

EPISODE 4: RAVAGED - emotional baggage takes its toll in a decidedly different way.

EPISODE 5: IGNITED - fire burns hotter when its close to the source.

Knox has set afire the pages of this mini-series and with each new installment things become a bit more alluring.

I read the first 5 stories all at once and I thought it was a fun story. I like that Roman and Ashley are each learning something from each other through their travels. My only complaint is that the last book seemed to end aprubtly!! Guess I will have to jump right into the next set of stories!

A hero and heroine who are both likeable for a change.

I gave this 5 stars, not because of it's stellar content or importance in literature, but simply because I really enjoyed reading a romance were I really liked both the hero and the heroine.. In more than 90% or these novels the authors seem to have some kind of perverse dislike for their heroines, by portraying them as whimpy, bitchy, whiny or with some other unattractive traits.... I really liked Jesse. She's had a rough time as a youger girl and while she's now a strong independent woman she's compassionate, friendly, fair minded and a loving mother. I like to see the hero with the few flaws for a change. In this hero the flaws make him more human.

TWO & 1/2 STARS for a tale about a ex addict rockstar and his recovery

TWO & 1/2 STARS--I liked the set up for the story. However based on its premise I was expecting something slightly more different. It seemed as if a bad boy rock star was going to be in a passion filled romance with his engaged to be married co-worker. Instead we get more of a biography of Ravensong, a Native American rock star's sad life of abuse, drugs and his recovery.

The romance felt a bit lackluster because the characters said the right words but I didn't believe it as much. I still finished the story because I was curious as to who was setting Ravensong up. Also Julian was a main antagonist in the story but he mellowed out for no real apparent reason. It was weird. As was Eliot's response to

SPOILER-ISH: To be honest, the switch between Ravensong's flashbacks and present day was not flawless. I had to read back a few times to figure out if he was having a flashback or not. Also telling his whole drug filled tale was necessary but I felt some parts could have been edited out. Also if his drug abuse tale was shared in the beginning and the weak prologue scrapped, I think I might have felt more...endeared to the tale.

This story is not really a romance in my opinion because the romance was secondary to the suspense of who was setting Ravensong up and the emotional tale of Ravensong's life thrust into the spotlight. When we find out who behind all of the drama, it was unexpected. I didn't see it because the heroine's fiancee did not care about her during the relationship, why would he go through all of this for her now?

I do agree with another reviewer that the men's dialogue did read like women were talking. And I get Ravensong accepting the abuse because he didn't want to become his father but really he...could have finally put a stop to it or try to put an end to it once and for all.

But I do think this story will appeal to other readers.

I recommend this story for adult readers that like YA PG-type reads but want to read a story that is more mature, suspense-lite read.

Ravensong

What I liked about the book: Josh's character - his struggle with fame, family and his past drug addition. His character was written well and you feel his real struggle with both his past and present life. Also the band member's interaction with each other, they have a real connection and friendship through the good and the bad.

What I didn't like: The story line with Julian the band manager. Could such hate and really bad treatment towards Josh really go on for that long? To hold someone's drug addition against him for that long seemed unreasonable. 9 years clean in the Rock and Roll world is a huge accomplishment!!! The industry loves a come back-story! Being this was a romance story it was under developed.

This totally addictive and Screaming Hot story starts with a skinny-dip in the estate pool where Bailey works. The new estate owner (Mr Sex himself) catches her and immediately the Heat starts - with devastating Dripping effects. Connor, the new owner of Rosemont, is not only a to die for Spunky Devil billionaire, but he has a hidden agenda, one he reveals to Bailey from the first night they meet. She has a few secrets of her own, her beloved grandpa, the estate groundskeeper, is in hospital so she is working in his place to support them both financially. This story is not just Supper Boiling (HOT AS) it is also full of suspense, and a lot of the story leave one with loads of anticipation just wondering what jaw dropping thing will happen next.....

I adored this book, it was right up my alley. I Soooo hope book two will be along shortly for me to devour - I'm waiting anxiously ....... :)

This is the whole series, not part one!

This book was originally released as a five part serial, but this is all 5 together not just part one, so you WILL get the whole story in this one book.

I am at a loss as to what to say about this book, never read anything like this. On the one hand it wasn't one if those suspend reality and just go with the sex scenes, because it had an actual plot....but it did also have some nice hot scenes. There was contrived drama for the sake of continuing the story, and a few parts where I was like HUH!?!? But it tried to follow its decent plot.

Bailey Sinclair is the groundskeeper granddaughter, she has been doing his job because he has Alzheimer's disease and doesn't want to let the owners know because she needs the money for his care. Conner Edge buys the property, although it appears to have been his families before, and anyway he's drawn to bailey. He suffers from a condition similar to multiple personality disorder and the two Conners both want her. One is a socially acceptable business man, the other is for all intents and purposes a Dom.

I loved this holiday collection!

I absolutely loved this collection! There was not a single story that I did not thoroughly enjoy. All three authors were new to me but other works by them have all found their way onto my TBR list.

Tinsel My Heart by Christi Barth: This is the story of Hollywood hotshot director Jack and his reluctant return to his hometown and the best friend he left behind. Becca is producing the show he has come to direct and they are forced to spend quite a bit of time together. The chemistry between these two is great! I loved watching them interact and gather the courage to admit their feelings and chase their dreams. This story was very well developed and the backstory was very well filled in. I would love to get to hear Tyâs story someday.

Season of Second Chances by Brighton Walsh: A storm traps Claire in Chicago, the last place she wants to be as it was once her home, things go from bad to worse when her former fiancé offers to let her wait out the storm with him in their old apartment. I LOVE second chance at love stories and this was no exception. These two had great chemistry and were tremendous fun to watch. I loved Logan! He was just so fabulous. Watching him come around and learn whatâs important was great.

Mine Under the Mistletoe by Kat Latham: Oliver and Ashley have switched homes for the holiday. They each have their own reasons for wanting to be away. Unfortunately for Oliver the airport is closed before he can get away. Forced together they decide to spend time together until the airport opens again. They both have painful back stories but they are able to open up to each other eventually. Watching them heal and fall in love was very sweet.

Tinsel my Heart

Loved it! Sort and sweet and full of love, with a few steamy scenes. The perfect way to star this little collections. I loved the characters and honestly wanted more. It was nice to see the friendships they had never ended after years of being apart.

Season of Second chances

This short was all about second chances and steamy sex scenes. Short but full of love and drama. Enough to keep the pages turning and you wanting more. I loved the characters and the story line. It was an easy read that had me wanting more.

Mine Under the Mistletoe

My favorite in this book of shorts! I am dying for more even though this book ended quite nicely. Wonderful characters with lots of background. Each character has a deep and intriguing story of their own. I was fascinated. I would have loved to read more.

Interesting mix of characters

End seemed a bit rushed but sweet, entertaining story. Interesting mix of characters and glimpse into wounded warrior and high fashion. Loved the boat.

A must read

This book touched my heart. It was about a model, and a war hero. It touched on subjects of what phantom pains can be like when you are missing a leg, survivors guilt, and the road that some soldiers face when they get out of the military. The romance between Ava, and Blake was sweet, with real emotions. I am so glad I finally read this book. It is a winner, and will go on my favorite's list.

Hands down one of the best books!!!!!

I have read a lot of books lately especially with war hero's. However this book really touched my heart and I wasn't able to put it down. I loved the characters and their strength to go after what they wanted.

My only wish would be that she found away to get back at her mother.

decent story but definitely -PG

I love a real romance novel, the love story that develops between an initially hesitant new couple. The butterflies and unicorns are great. But I also love reading the hot and steamy love scenes ie. sex. There is not sex in this novel! This is the third Australian romance novel I have read in a row where the "romantic weekend together" is simply alluded to or skipped. Reading this book I became confused about why the female character was so upset, only to realize that the chapter pause was them spending the weekend together and I had missed it because the chapter simply ended with her giving him a kiss back. I don't require full on bdsm but I would like some actual romancing in my romance novel. Add some steamy love scenes and this book would have be good. Without them, it read like a PG version of chick lit.

Beware of The Boss

Really enjoyed this book to the point of not being able to put it down. I really liked the charisma that between Grey and Laine. Didn't want it to end the way it did but instead continued on a little farther with their love for each other!

Sweet story

Well written story. Good story line. The beach is my favorite place to be. Seems like this couple's favorite place also.

Best book I read in a long time!!!

This book is romantic, and the most perfect story a girl could ever read! I chose a rating of 5 because it ROCKED!!
