I love this happy ending. With all the LOVE in your heart YOU can accomplish anything with or without family. This story shows that. I just fell in love with this series that I can't wait for the next one. If you love a great LOVE story read the beautiful series. You won't be disappointed.

HEA for Naomi and Theo!!!

I absolutely love Naomi and Theo!! I'm so happy to finally see Naomi and Theo tie the knot. This book was the perfect conclusion to their HEA. I got to see (yes, I said see) some of my favorite characters... Elliot and Paige, David and Katrina, and Lisa and Marcus.

Lilliana knows how to add just enough drama keep the pages turning without it being unnessary. The wedding scene was beautiful and truly hate to see it come to an end.

Love Australian Style

This was a great series of books that kept me going on the ride through all of them. I enjoyed reading about characters from another part of the world for a change. The characters were engaging and you find yourself caring about the well-being of all of them. After reading the first book, you get hooked and want to see what happens to everyone. Lots of heartbreak, angst and love involved.

I believe you enjoy the novella much more if you read the entire series! Theo and Nomes finally have their big Day after waiting for Marcus to come around and forgive and forget. This Novella is the story of Theo and Naomi after a Beautiful Melody, to fully appreciate and understand this novella I highly recommend the entire Beautiful series.

the sex was not good at all. the ice cream scene was stupid. everything else was boring. even his homecoming not not very fun.

Predictable

I received this audiobook free from the narrator in exchange for my honest review.

STORY:

The female main character Elise is a woman who likes to have sex. Preferably, she enjoys having sex with unavailable men, men who are engaged, married or for whatever reason want her body and nothing more. Elise blames her childhood or, more specifically, her father for causing her to become the emotionally frigid, sex/crazed woman she has become. During the 1st 1/3rd of the book we read about Elise's sexual escapades and debauchery; entertaining yet very predictable. By the time is read the 1st third of the book, I knew where the rest of the story would go. **** Do not read the rest of this paragraph if you do not want to view a spoiler!*** My guess is that like me, most romance readers will guess early on that eventually, one of the men Elise encounters will evoke feelings in her that she's not accustomed to feeling. Try as she might to fight these feelings, well, you know how the rest the story goes.....

There were some holes in the storyline. For example, Elise flat out will not or maybe cannot (we aren't told which is true) even attempt to be part of a meaningful, committed, intimate relationship with a man. I understand that people can and do develop intimacy issues based on how they were raised or if they were abused yet in this story, there's no evidence of abuse significant enough to cause Elise's behavior. It just didn't correlate.

PS: if you find yourself enjoying this book and would like to hear the whole thing, don't stop reading or listening after it says, "the end". There is an epilogue. Ms. Wade, you should probably not type the words, "the end" until it really is the end!

PERFORMANCE:

During 98% of this recording Melissa Barr gives a 5-star performance! 98% of the time Ms. Barr's words flowed seamlessly, her voices were realistic and believable (even while portraying male characters). Her pitch was perfect, pauses well-timed and she exuded just the right amount of emotion.

Cute Story with good narration

This was a quick, enjoyable listen. A middle age man, fairly average from what I can tell, decides to do an investigation in to some phenomenon that had been happening in the NY region. He and Lucy fall for each other quickly. I really liked Ditto the horse. One thing I could have done without, though were all of Lucky's 'yeah right' moments. The narrator did a good job. I would be glad to listen to something narrated by them in the future.

Fox delivers on characters, use of language,feel

AudioBook Review: Stars: Overall 4 Narration 4 Story 4

A short introduction to the characters, world and authors writing all come through in this first installment in Edward Foxs story, Lucky Dawg Meets Lucky Lucy.

Fox delivers on characters: Lucky (so named by his parents) is a detective of sorts- investigating aliens and other UFO type activities despite not really believing in the phenomena. Hes got a very noir approach to dialog and use of language, fond of gal and sounding very 40s in all the best non-pc ways. Lucy has retreated to life in a small cabin in the woods with her dog, preferring solitude and her own space to a life filled with people, but close enough to get necessities. With care, Fox brings us enough background on these two characters (despite the abbreviated length) to give us some solid belief in their reasoning and needing to know what would happen with these two.

When things go bump in the night, and Lucy starts to see things that she cant quite rationalize or explain and things start to twist. A blog post brings her to Luckys attention, and he takes a circuitous route to her in New York. Together, Lucky and Lucy are electric. While there was an instant connection between the two, Fox doesnt use the connection or the steam that illustrates it dance over the edge of crude. Yes, there is sex, steamy moments even, but displayed with a sensuality (and lovely dialogue) that truly keep readers engaged and believing in their connection and relationship. Cleverly done in about 130 pages, Fox has managed to make their story feel much longer and deeper, we havent noticed the short length until it is over and we want more: more of this crazy mismatched couple, more about the aliens, more from The Alien, and even to see what scuffle and mystery Lucky will drag us into next.

Narration for this story is provided by Scott Pollack, my first introduction to his narration. A bold choice, and if I had to describe him, his voice is similar to Scott Simon of NPR fame. Use of his voice as Lucky feels solid and appropriate, with adjustments in tone and delivery to fit the moment. When voicing Lucy, he doesnt change his tone much, but does use nuanced delivery and presentation to bring her to light.

A Powerful Love Story

Love is powerful. We crave to experience it and to share it. If you've lost hope of being loved or having someone to love this book is for you. I didn't want the book to end.

I felt like I was walking with a lover compelled to tell stories about his beloved.

Nicholas Deere began the story by showing the need for a lover. Then he shared in the most delicate way how he sought to meet his need. This sequed to his true Lover finding him. The best part for me is how the love of Christ transformed him into a man who could love a woman the way Christ loves the church.

Top takeaway: Don't lose hope.

Such Honesty!

The author writes with such candor that is refreshing in this day and age of hiding the truth. He puts himself out there and exposes the truth. Very honestly written and it would seem to be a risky thing to do for a public Christian to do, risking it all to help others in the same situation.

Wonderful story! I love the journey from craving love and affection to finding the Love, the true Source of Love. The journey through sexuality and curiosity is what many have faced and experienced, and the author brings us all into this fascinating world

I liked this one even better than book one...I found Daphne's story to be so relatable...I felt so bad for her, that she just thought she had no self worth to others..yet she was actually a really strong woman....I liked the twist here with Zander and her...2 people that really needed each other, accidentally found each other and it results in something so wonderful....This was an excellent listen..and I am on to book 2.5....

Writing YA-Content Mature Slips Between Catagories

This is part two of the SCARRED HEARTS series. If you have not read book number one please be warned that this review may contain spoilers

Daphne has a one night stand with Zander. She gives him a bogus name and it is purely a hook up between strangers with unprotected sex.

You can probably imagine what happens next. :-) Daphne finds out she is pregnant. She has no idea how to track down the father and doesn't particularly care to.

Francesca, Daphne's best friend is getting married, Daphne tries to be a supportive best friend, helping with the details for the big day. During the wedding planning, Daphne, her best friend & fiancée meet up with some others. Lo and behold, there is Zander.

Enjoy the ride...

Chris Martinez is a solid performer, good.

The books in the SCARRED HEARTS series seem geared toward more toward young adults, except for the intimate scenes. I think that they would be better classified and appeal to a much younger audience as some of the scenarios just do not fit into a more mature audience. This is not a bad thing. These would appeal to a younger audience, as so much of the series is made up of a much younger, teen fantasy. If asked, this is what I would recommend.

This book had me on the edge of my seat!!!!

WOW!!!!!! Book 3 was heart stopping!!! Troy has threatened Kyra that if she didn't do what he asked her to do, the he would hurt Stephano!! So she has fled to another country to save Stephano. Stephano figured out what Kyra was doing and he made sure to find her. He loves her so much that he will never let her go. This is a real love story mixed in with plenty of huge suspense!! As usual Emily Jane Trent's books keep getting better and better! I can't wait to read Book 4!!! Thank you, Emily, for taking us to all those countries. Your descriptions of them saved me a ton of money. LOL!!!!

This story continues to amaze me with each part of this series is read. Love Emily Jane Trent and her ability to keep bringing us exciting books that continue to make this series amazing. Can't wait to read the next installment to see what happens with Leah and Stephano.
