  • “Put Me in, Coach!” - an interview with Dylan Grant
There are huge correlations between sports and music. Some of the best known music is used for pitcher’s entrances, or championship games… in football, hockey, baseball, basketball - the Big 4… let Dylan explain why they’re called that. Dylan is a sports journalist and future broadcaster… and not THAT far in the future! He’ll be doing a regular show on this station soon, so look for that! Until then, hear some of the biggest sports songs ever on this show!!

  • Sunday Night Rock School with Steve Sainas
Sunday Night RockSchool with Steve Sainas
In the year 2000, Steve Sainas had an idea: he’d bring the RockSchool concept into the highschool he was teaching at… and that idea got him nominated for a Juno Award twice… and the second time, he won! Learn from a man who’s passionate about teaching, about government cutbacks in education for the arts, and about what all of us can do to support the arts in our communities and generally just make the world a better place. I’ll play a few tunes from Steve’s newest CD - released this year, 2017, plus Steve will play a couple of tunes live in the studio too!

  • Blanket B.C
    Blanket B.C.
There are a lot of upstanding and well-meaning charities out there. But Blanket B.C. society is a little bit different. Ever donated to charity and wondered how much of your donations will actually go to where it’s needed? With Blanket B.C. you don’t need to wonder… 100% goes to the homeless in Vancouver. Whether you donate blankets, gloves, money, whatever… it ends up where it’s needed. Listen while I interview Gregory Ould, co-founder of Blanket B.C. society - he’ll tell you all about this amazing charity. There’s music too, of course… some by artists who loom large in the charity communities… and some songs about blankets too!
