Aine is the supermodel co-founder of Model Mafia: a global community of hundreds of models who work together to make the fashion industry and world more sustainable, just and equitable. Basically a community of models who care! Aine and I have a wonderful conversation about social activism as a model, highlighting how tricky it may be at times to be a model and an activist. We also talk about the responsibilities of supermodels, especially when it comes to creating a better environment for those models who are not known nor have a voice. Ultimately being a model is complex! Especially when you are someone sensitive, who cares about the job and the environmental/social impact of your industry, and who loves creativity and fashion.

Gillian Riley can be called a food writer, however she is much more than that. Someone incredibly passionate with an extra dose of curiosity. She wrote the Oxford Companion To Italian Food and Food In Art. Moreover she translated Italian manuscripts from the 1400s and 1500s: Maesto Martino's and Giacomo Castelvetro's respectively - two authors known to just any respected gastronome and food historian.

NOTE: There is another Gillian Riley, who wrote diet books.... it is not the same Gillian Riley I interviewed. They just have the same name.

Gina Swire is a renowned self-love coach, mentor to women and manifesting queen. We met when both living in New York which is where our paths went separate ways, only to cross again now after 6 years. This is a late night talk between girlfriends, trying to answer questions such as "can modelling be truthful?", "why is there such a lack of self-love (and ultimately self-respect) within models?"... Is there another way, perhaps a new way of working as a model? This episode is for everyone in the fashion industry and not. Yvan Rodic is mostly knows as Face Hunter on his super followed Instagram account. Yvan is a cultural explorer and I got curious to ask him about the food he ate visiting 150 countries so far, also because there is hardly any food photos on his profile. A wonderful cross cultural conversation about the importance of curiosity, openness and respect towards that which is different from us... from the food we are used to eat, from the faces we are accustomed to see. Yvan tells us about his relationship with food and cultures, most importantly towards the end of our conversation he leaves an important message sourced from his experience for everyone to hear.

This episode is so much more than just about urban beekeeping. Luke Dixon is a theatre artist turned beekeeper, and I contacted him primarily for two reasons: the first is that I needed to talk to someone on the field about the situation of bees, the second is that I was so so curious and so so eager to see a beehive and be around it for even just an hour. Missions accomplished! This episode was recorded exactly in one of the multiple communities Luke works at and where he has created a little green paradise for bees and bugs and salamanders and squirrels and I'm sure even foxes love it! So, how are the bees doing? Is the population declining? Do we need any more panic campaigns in order to care?... Little side note: I can assure you that we need now and forever people who have a bright vision of the future and who just don't ring the panic bell to get your attention. Luke Dixon is one of them!
