Today, we interview Brooke Preston!

Brooke Preston is a Midwest-based writer, satirist and storyteller. Her humor writing has been published in The New York Times, McSweeney’s, Reductress, Men’s Health, Romper, The Huffington Post, Electric Literature, and many other web and print outlets. She is also a founding editor of The Belladonna Comedy, a satire site by women and non-binary writers, for everyone. She and her fellow editors co-authored a satire book called "New Erotica for Feminists". She is a proud faculty member of The Second City Training Center, where she teaches the Online Satire Writing program.

Leslie Ylinen is an advertising copywriter and humor writer based in San Francisco. Her writing appears frequently on McSweeney's Internet Tendency, among other sites. She has not won any awards for her writing, but she did receive very polite threats from Canadians for making fun of RUSH. She has spawned exactly one human child.

Justin is a humor writer from central MA and a proud graduate of ImprovBoston’s comedy school where he also interned and worked. He's also studied various forms of writing with the Second City through online classes, including sketch, late-night television, and internet satire among others. He likes to remind himself everyday, “You’re never fully dressed without a pair of combat boots."

She has also written and drawn for print in the form of books, her most recent which is available now, “That Was Awkward - The Art and Etiquette of the Awkward Hug”. Emily is also the founder of St. Nell’s Writing Residency for Ladies which launched this month and are now accepting applications for the September residency!

Audrey writes novels, satire, and has published work in McSweeney's, Into the Void, Human Parts, Empty Mirror, The Belladonna, Slackjaw, and Points in Case. Two of her stories placed in the 2020 Pen Parentis Fellowship for New Parents, and one received a Juror's Prize.

When she isn't writing, she's being tolerated by her two rambunctious children and very patient husband.
